This solidarity march, of mostly young people, was a show of unity in seeking answers and justice in the questionable demise of Kylen English. The youth took to the streets, in an organized and peaceful show of civil disobedience that would have made Martin Luther King Jr proud. Dayton youth, lead by the English family, marched from WS McIntosh Memorial Park to the Montgomery County Jail were 20-year-old Kylen English was last seen alive. After leaving the Montgomery County Jail Kylen is report to have broken through the police cruiser's window with his head, climbed out the window, with hand-cuffs still on and jump to his death from the Salem Avenue bridge. Before Kylen allegedly jumped to his death he was in the process of being booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Before the booking could take place he is reported to have "slammed his head into the cinderblock walls" hard enough to cause him to momentarily loose consciousness and collapse to the ground. His was then examined and before being booked was taken to Grandview Hospital to be examined for any possible head injuries. On the way back to the Montgomery County Jail is when Kylen was reported to have escaped and taken his life. The family and many in the Black community, after viewing the police tape, that was acquired by Kylen's uncle, believe that foul-play occurred before he was booked and that his suicide is questionable. Black Pastors in Dayton, Ohio take a stand for John Crawford III, who was shot by police in a Walmart after receiving a 911 call that he was carrying a real weapon that turned out to be a toy gun that is sold at the store.
