The Phoenician inscription of Azitiwada, Karatepe, Cilicia, Turkey, 750 BC (Column A) (KAI 26):
Azitiwada left us a bilingual inscription; A Hittite Luwian Hieroglyphic and a Tyro-Sidonian Phoenician. This Inscription is another proof of the importance of the Phoenician as a 'Lingua Franca' of the Levant/ Near East in the Eight century BC.
In Phoenician (using the Hebrew Alphabet):

English translation:
I am Azitiwada, the blessed of Baal, servant of Baal, whom Awariku, king of the Danunians, made powerful. Baal made me, a father and a mother to the Danunians. I revived the Danunians. I extended the land of the plain of Adana from the rising of the Sun to its setting. And in my days the Danunians had all that was good and all sorts of abundance. And I filled the granaries of Paar. And I acquired; horse upon horse, shield upon shield and army upon army, by the grace of Baal and all the gods. And I shattered the rebels, and destroyed all evildoers who were in the land. And I put the house of my lord in good order. And I acted kindly towards the descendant of my lord, and I installed him on the throne of his father. And I made peace with every king. Moreover, every king considered me as a father because of my righteousness, and my wisdom and because of my goodness of heart. And I built strong fortresses in all the remote areas on the borders, in these places where there were bad men, leaders of gangs, not one of whom had been a vassal of the house of Mopos. And I, Azitiwada placed them under my foot. And I built fortresses in these places so that the Danunians could dwell in them with their mind at peace. And I conquered strong lands at the rising of the Sun, which none of the kings who were before me had been able to conquer. And I Azitiwada, subdued them, and I deported them, and settled them on the edge of my borders at the setting of the Sun. And I settled the Danunians up there.

I just wanted to give you an extra Biblical example of the Phoenician-Hebrew word ḤMD; חמד , and its different context and meaning when compared to its counterpart word in Arabic. The name of the Prophet of Islam MḤMD has a different meaning in Hebrew and Phoenician when compared with Arabic. In Arabic it means 'the worthy of praise' whereas in Phoenician and Hebrew it means 'the desired' or 'the charming' or the 'lovely' one or the 'coveted' one. Neither the Bible nor Azitiwada was talking about the Prophet of Islam. Both were using a common Semitic Canaanite word that was well known in their sister languages.
May all peoples live in peace and harmony and may we all respect each other and acknowledge our differences. And may all of us find the Truth one day an embrace it and the Truth will set us all free.

In my comments on this inscription, I mentioned the following: “This inscription is a witness to another core value of the Phoenician culture: the profound religiosity of people and kings. The Phoenician Pagan religion occupied a central role in the life of every Phoenician. Phoenicians like all human beings of our species- Homo sapiens that I would call instead Homo relgiosus, and therefore upset all atheists on YouTube- believed in something greater than themselves and this inscription is a strong witness to that.”
In my opinion, all human beings are religious whether they belong to a formal religion or not. This was quite clear, as I mentioned in this excerpt, during the latest pestilence. The quasi-religious aspects of the pestilence times, particularly the unquestionable blind belief, by everyone even the highly educated, in the ‘common narrative’ and the total submission to the authoritarian rule of political leaders who became somehow like religious leaders.
As a Catholic Christian, I am saddened by the fact that even our current Pope has espoused many elements of this ‘new age religion’ instead of being the Vicar of Christ on Earth and the leader of the supposedly, only true Religion, he has become another follower of this ‘new age religion’. Not only that, but our Pope is also persecuting the good orthodox priests and religious and is propping up those unorthodox priests, religious and lay people who like him adopt the ‘new age religion’ or most of its elements. This new-age religion is behaving somehow like the Catholic Church of the Middle Ages and like Islamic Authorities at the time of the Caliphate. Anyone who does not submit to this ‘church’s’ dogmas is branded as a ‘heretic/apostate’ or in other modern words; ‘hater, misinformer or disinformer’ and incurs immediate retribution with social media banning, character libeling and assassination, loss of job and livelihood and in certain countries even prison sentences.
I am not here to paint a pessimistic view of religion and religious people; as I have said, we are all religious beings, we were created that way, and we all have in us an innate reflex to connect with our maker.
Maybe, I, an unmarried catholic, should present my candidacy to the Papal office; the ultimate and the noblest position a man can attain. So that, to save the Church from her present turmoil, serve the faithful, and preach the true Gospel that would make people content and live in peace on this Earth. Hopefully, be the Pope who stands up for the dignity and liberty of the human being created in the image of God, free and sovereign. A Pope who fights Evil and speaks out against every falsehood while keeping the Biblical truth that we are nothing in front of God who created us in this vast Universe, and that our duty is to love Him and our neighbour, to be morally disciplined, to do good deeds to the best of our potential, to work for peace, to be good custodians on his creation, to always strive to be as perfect as possible, and to ultimately return to Him at the end of our earthly life.
It is amazing how we mortal and sinful humans are always seeking and working for higher goals and ideals. I, for example, want to save Lebanon and New Zealand, save the Church, revive the Phoenician Language and culture and at the same time struggle to save my profession and thankfully keep my job. An English translation:
I am Kilamuwa, the son of Hayya. Gabbar became king over YDY but accomplished nothing. There was Bammah, but he accomplished nothing. Then there was my father Hayya, but he accomplished nothing. Then there was my brother Shaul, but he accomplished nothing. As for me Kilamuwa, the son of Tammat, what I accomplished not even their predecessors accomplished. My father's house was in the midst of powerful kings, and each put forth his hand to fight me; but I was in the hands of kings like a fire that consumes the beard or like a fire that consumes the hand. The King of the Danunians lorded it over me, but I hired against him the king of Assyria. He gave a maid for the price of a sheep and a man for the price of a garment.
I Kilamuwa, the son of Hayya, sat upon my father’s throne. In face of the formers kings the Mushkhabim (likely the lower class of the population) used to whimper like dogs. But I, to some, I was a father, and to some I was a mother, and to some I was a brother. Him who had never seen the face of sheep, I made owner of a flock. Him who had never seen the face of an ox, I made owner of a herd of cattle, and owner of silver and owner of gold. And Him who had never seen linen since his youth, in my days they covered with byssus. I grasped the Mushkhabim by the hand and they felt towards me like an orphan for a mother.
Now if any of my sons who shall sit in my place and does harm to this inscription, may the Mushkhabim not honour the Baaririm (likely the upper class of the population), nor the Baaririm honour the Mushkhabim. And if anyone smashes this inscription, may Baal Sammad who belongs to Gabbar smash his head and may Baal Hammon who belongs to Bammah and Rakebaal lord of our dynasty smash his head.

انا كيلاموا ابن حيّا, جبّار كان ملكّ على اليودي, ولم ينجز شيءً. ثم كان بمّاح, ولم ينجز شيءً. ثم كان ابي حيّا , ولم ينجز شيءً, ثم كان اخي شوول, ولم ينجز شيء كذلك. أما انا كيلاموا, ابن تمث, الذي انجزته لم ينجزه الاقدمون ابداً. كان بيت ابي في وسط ملوك عظماء, وكل منهم مد يده لمحاربتي. وكنت بين يدي هؤلاء الملوك كما النار تأكل الحية , وكما النار تأكل اليدين. وقد تقوى, وتجبر علي ملك الدانونيم, ولكني وجهت عليه ملك آشور. فبيعت الصبية بشاة, والرجل بثمن ثوب. اما انا كيلاموا, ابن حيّا, فقد جلست وتثبت على عرش ابي.
في زمن الملوك القدماء, كان عامة الشعب يئنون كألكلاب, ولكني كنت لهذا ابا, ولذلك اماً, وللأخر اخاً. ومن منهم لم يرى ابداً وجه شاة, جعلته مالك لقطيع من الاغنام. ومن منهم لم يرى وجه ثور, جعلته مالكاً لقطيع من الابقار, وكثير من الفضة, وكثير من الذهب. ومن منهم لم يرى قماشأً قطنياً منذ صباه, إرتدى في ايامي ثياباً فاخرةً من البيصوص. وانا أمسكت عامة الشعب بيدي, وهم احسّوا تجاهي كما يحس اليتيم تجاه الأم.
ومن من ابنائي, يرث العرش من بعدي, ويخرب هذه المنقوشة, فليسحق رأسه بعل صّمد,اله بيت جبّار, وبعل حمّون, اله بمّاح, وركبعل, اله البيت, فليسحقوا رأسه جميعهم.

This is an excerpt from my presentation; Temple Tariff Inscription, Sacred Prostitution and the drag Queen of Astarte; Part 1. In this segment, I discuss the real meaning of the word Almah/Almot based on Hebrew Bible exegesis including the Septuagint Greek version which translates this word into Parthenos; the Greek word that indicates virginity. Almah/ Almot does not mean a young woman only, it also means that this young woman is a virgin.
This is quite important to ascertain a few days before Christmas; the feast of the virginal birth of our Lord Jesus Christ Saviour of the world.

Temple Tariff Inscription , Sacred Prostitution and the Drag Queens of Astarte part II
In this presentation I discuss mainly KLBM and GRM ( so called sacred male prostitutes)…, appearing in line 15 on face A and in line 10 on face B of the Kition Inscription. Who were these KLBM and GRM? I mainly focus in this presentation on the KLBM. Were these KLBM simply dogs working for the Temple? Canaan dog! I talk about the Dog in the Phoenician and Levantine cultures including in the Bible( both Old and New Testament) and ancient Israel in addition in the famous Amarna letters! I include positive and negative statements about dogs. I also discuss the Dog with the Eshmun/Asclepius/Aesculapius (god of health) cult.
I explain who the KLBM really were in light of the extraordinary institution of the Galli/which I call the Drag Queen of Astarte! I also talk about the Galli and their cultural successors in Christianity and Islam! At the end I share my final thoughts on this controversial subject.
