Ephesians 4:17-32 "Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you
were sealed for the day of redemption." Topics include need for prayer, too much book reading (Inc TV, PCs and music) is harmful, selfishness, do not judge others as you will be judged the same etc.
Emily Leske my wife of 53 years is known as "Mom" to our kids of course.
She is the best cook I have ever known, no joke. She does some cooking on her www.Youtube.com/emilyleskeglobetrotter channel.
John 1:3 says: "3. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him." Him meaning Jesus Christ.
Luke 6:37
"Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven."
We have done a lot only because
now we are able to do so, where
as we did not help others when
we could and should have.
James 2:14-26 / New King James Version
Faith Without Works Is Dead
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says
he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save
him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of
daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in
peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give
them the things which are needed for the body, what
does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not
have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You
have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith
without [a]your works, and I will show you my
faith by [b]my works. 19 You believe that there is
one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—
and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish
man, that faith without works is [c]dead?
Matthew 6:19-20
Jesus warned us about this when He said,
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on
earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and
where thieves break in and steal. But store
up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where
neither moth nor rust destroys, and where
thieves do not break in or steal ...”
How does God want us to help others?
God wants us to help each other in times of struggle
and sin. Scripture commands it: “Bear one another's
burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).
When you ask someone else to help you bear a
burden, you are giving them an opportunity to serve
God and share Christ's love with you
PROVERBS 19:17
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD,
and he will reward them for what they have done.”
Sometimes we need a little extra incentive to
remind ourselves to be generous. Knowing that
God will reward our compassion and kindness
towards the less fortunate can be just that!
