Today we are having a look at the WGS Black and Blue AlNiCo 15 watt speaker, made in the USA. If you are well acquainted with Vox amplifiers, then you know that the Celestion AlNiCo Blue is considered by many to be the best speaker for these amps. I was curious to give one a fair test with my AC15, so I contacted the folks at WGS and they sent this one out to me. I'll be testing the amp with clean tones from both the Normal and Top Boost channels, the dirty tones from both of these channels, and I will use the Crowther Hot Cake, Paul C. Tim v3, a Pro Co Rat 2, a Hudson Broadcast and a Norther FX Treble booster. For guitars, I'll be using my Gretsch 5622t, MIM Fender Telecaster, EBMM Steve Morse, as well as my Classic Vibe Strat. The mic of choice today is the trusty and reliable Shure SM57. I'm a Stringjoy artist, and play their set of Broadways on all my Electric guitars.
