Despite the fact that a weekend Breitbart poll shows that of the top 3 contenders in the running to become America’s next Secretary of State, Mitt Romney scored a measly 8.7% compared to 25.7% for John Bolton and 37.2% for Rudy Giuliani, rumors persist that President-Elect Donald Trump may still actually be considering Romney for the nation’s most important cabinet post - 4th in the line of succession.
Trump stalwarts like no less than Trump’s own campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, have been raining down warnings of imminent revolt should Romney get the nod – especially over Bolton – a genuine foreign affairs expert as the former ambassador to the UN – or Former May or New York, Rudy Giuliani, who stuck his neck out early and often in support of Trump when he really needed a major credible figure to go television for him.
Conway went on CNN’s “State of the Union” this morning as though campaigning against Romney:
“I’m all for party unity, but I’m not sure we have to pay for that with secretary of state position.”
Conway then took to Twitter in response to folks asking her if she had said these things to Trump, himself.
“I did tell him privately. And I'll respect his decision. Point is the volume & intensity of grassroots resistance to Romney is breathtaking.”
I don’t think I can ever remember a President-Elect’s campaign manager coming out and crossing swords with the President-Elect before the inauguration over a potential cabinet pick.
Over the weekend some Trump supporters like insider Mike Huckabee suggested that Romney would be acceptable only if he publically apologized for his hurtful and over-hyped criticisms of Trump during the campaign.
Then today, came this – New York magazine’s fake apology from Romney. This apology is apparently a satire, but I certainly wasn’t sure until my wife read it, I searched the so-called fact-checking websites and finally searched throughout the web to no avail for confirmation.
At best, New York magazine has stooped to click baiting its audience.
It certainly worked for me. But the clear intent to confuse the audience is also nothing less that joining the long list of “fake news” websites that Google and Facebook have sworn to ban.
So what’s going on here? Since KellyAnne seems to not be privy to being on the inside with the Romney trial balloon, there is only one person closer to the President-Elect other than his family, and that would be Stephen K. Bannon, former chairman of Breitbart News, who was recently dubbed Trump’s presidential strategy chief.
So what are they up to? Well, since they have let this divisive speculation over Romney play out over a long Thanksgiving weekend, they really must need to make Romney a very shiny object as he passes the splendor of the Trump transition for some good reason.
What that could be is not easy to guess seeing as how Trump won a huge mandate against all odds. Why does he need Romney’s - at least - tacit blessing?
One thing is for sure, according to Newt Gingrich, Trump needs to bring this divisive issue to an end tomorrow, Monday.
Let’s just hope that the reason this trial balloon has flown for so long over Washing and New York is not something more nefarious than simple political backslapping.

In a Friday telephone interview with the New York Times, Donald Trump said he would be taking his negotiating skills to an entirely new level with Saudi Arabia.
In an article published yesterday, Trump said that he would consider halting oil purchases from the Saudis unless they either agreed to substantially provide people and equipment to help fight ISIS, or “substantially reimbursed” the United States for doing so.
“If Saudia Arabia was without the cloak of American protection, I don’t think it would be around [long],” Trump said.
As one foreign policy observer who spoke only on conditions of anonymity told the Still Report:
“Trump’s move is brilliant. It is essentially a checkmate move, because if Trump refuses to buy oil, especially when oil is cheap, that would accelerate an economic downturn.
“Coupled with removing U.S. protection, this would lead to an internal revolution and the end of the Saudi family rule.
“There are many unskilled Saudis who are unemployed presently who prefer to live on welfare rather than do ‘lowly jobs’ currently done by imported foreigners.
“If the House of Saud Royal family was no longer able to pay that welfare tab, they would have no more moves left to play and hence, have to capitulate.”
The result would be some sort of Saudi spring – some sort of democratic movement - and the Royal family would be out.
“This gives Trump tremendous negotiating leverage. He could negotiate that the Saudis take most of the migrants currently flooding Europe and built giant new cities for them in the vast deserts of their country.
“Trump can make them stop sponsoring ISIS – cold. He could make them get out of Yemen, and dry up much of the weapons funding to the African groups.
“But most importantly for the U.S., he could make them stop funding mosque-building in the west, and stop the most radical ones - cold. All this just from this one brilliant threat.”
Trump went on to tell the Times he would negotiate similar – pay- for-military-protection agreements with Japan and South Korea, but in addition encourage them to:
“…to build their own nuclear arsenals rather than depend on the American nuclear umbrella for their protection against North Korea and China.”
According to Trump: “[If the U.S.] keeps on its … current path of weakness, they are going to want to have that anyway, with or without me discussing it.”
Of course, Trump would renegotiate the Iran deal, but declined to provide much detail as these negotiations would be coming to the forefront very early on in his administration.
Trump also named three new foreign policy advisors, including a favorite of mine, retired Rear Adm. Charles R. Kubic,
Trump summed up his foreign policy as:
“Not isolationist, but I am America First. We will not be ripped off anymore. We’re going to be friendly with everybody, but we’re not going to be taken advantage of by anybody.”

WorldNetDaily (WND) has put up what may be THE most important petition ever placed before the American people.
Titled: PETITION URGING THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES TO TEMPORARILY HALT MUSLIM IMMIGRATION INTO THE U.S. UNTIL A PROPER VETTING SYSTEM IS ESTABLISHED, it is addressed to all members of Congress.
WND founder Joseph Farah explained:
“Americans promised to “Never Forget” after the 9/11 terror attacks, but for the past seven years President Obama and his allies have tried to persuade the nation that Islamic terrorism has nothing to do with Islam….”
Donald Trump has been ruthlessly attacked since announcing his support for a complete ban on Muslim immigration:
“… until we figure out what the hell is going on.”
Subsequently, much of the MSM and politicians from both parties have attacked Trump calling his ban illegal and unconstitutional, it is not.
As recently as 1977, the US Supreme Court said that:
“… the power to expel or exclude aliens [is] a fundamental sovereign attribute exercised by the government’s political departments largely immune from judicial control.”
In addition, no new legislation is really needed to do as Trump suggests. The McCarran-Walter Immigration Act of 1952 gives the President the option to halt entry of any aliens or any class of aliens into the United States by issuing a simple proclamation:
“…for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants.”
This law was used during the cold war to keep Communist Party members out of the country. It was used by President Jimmy Carter to stop Iranians from entering during the Iran hostage crisis.
Many scholars and Islamic experts have warned of a clash of civilizations over this issue.
Thanks to Donald Trump, and the obvious failure of German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s “open door” immigration policy that threatens the very existence of modern-day Germany, this view has exploded across America in just a few weeks is now becoming mainstream.
Respected CNBC economist Larry Kudlow recently wrote:
"This is not my usual position. But this is a war. Therefore I have come to believe there should be no immigration or visa waivers until America adopts a completely new system to stop radical Islamic terrorists from entering the country. A wartime lockdown…."
Former presidential candidate, Patrick J. Buchanan has called the lockdown:
“… simple common sense.”
And it is. Islam has declared war on civilization, and say their most important target is the United States. It is time for the American sleeping giant to stop listening to the reassurances of President Obama and start listening to important voices like Joseph Farad and Donald Trump – before it’s too late, as it may well be for not only Germany, but the more liberal nations of Europe, such as France, Sweden and the UK.

If Hillary Clinton’s unbelievable - and so far unpunished - national security breaches weren’t bad enough, now a new scandal has surfaced at the Defense Information Systems Agency or DISA that has been brewing since 2011.
DISA is co-located on the same super-secure Fort Meade military base where the National Security Agency, or NSA, resides. However, DISA is supposed to be responsible for the integrity of the U.S. military’s secure communications network.
In a case that has been brewing under the surface since 2008 - the first year of the Obama presidency - last week it was revealed that a Massachusetts cyber security company named NetCracker Technology had employed obviously unclearable Russian contractors to write highly classified cybersecurity code for DISA server upgrades.
And what do ya know, it was later discovered that these Russian hackers had implanted viruses in their code that infected the DISA network. This likely made military secrets accessible from inside the military’s secure communications network.
The espionage caper is being treated however as merely a case of fraud, because NetCracker had secretly employed the Russians at one-third the rate that Americans with the proper security clearances would have charged.
Interestingly, NetCracker has also done work on GSA computers – the same outfit that earlier this year had it’s entire security personnel database hacked by the Russians, leading to the loss of the most critical personal data -- including social security numbers, names, addresses, phone numbers and even medical history – of millions of Americans with top security clearances.
Has anyone been charged with espionage in the DISA case? Nope. Computer Sciences Corporation – who was the prime contractor over NetCracker – agreed to pay a mere $13 million dollars to reimburse the government for the costs of its 4-year investigation of the matter, to make it all go away.
Of course, this is a drop it the bucket for Computer Sciences. In 2014, they were awarded 1.5 billion dollars in Pentagon contracts alone.
So, apparently no one will be held criminally accountable, and what is perhaps the most serious breach of U.S. military secrets in history will soon fade away without further public investigation.

SR 1303 – Crooked Clinton CRASHES in USC Daybreak Poll. Trump SURGING Despite Skewing
The day after I said I was giving up on the USC Daybreak Poll, it reported an amazing reversal in the fortunes of Donald Trump.
He suddenly halted his week-long slide and is rocketing north again.
Trump now leads Clinton nationally by 46.2% to 44.8 – a 2.4% margin.
Going inside the numbers is a bit troubling for the poll’s legitimacy, however, Daybreak reported that although Trump surged in the 35-64 crowd and the 65 and over crowd, the 18-34 crowd saw a significant jump in Clinton’s popularity in the last 2 days.
In the 35-64 crowd, Trump gained 1.6% in the last 2 days, while Clinton last 1.7% - a 2-day swing of 3.3%.
Among the poorest Americans, Trump still loses to Clinton by a 20 point margin

Pope Francis, on his flight back from Mexico to Rome, told reporters that Donald Trump wasn’t a Christian:

Hmmmm. Isn’t that just a little political – on the eve of the critical South Carolina primary? Couldn’t that be seen as putting the Papal thumb on the scales in favor of Catholic candidate Marco Rubio?
Here is a Pope who says nothing about President Obama’s stance on gay marriage or abortion, but because Trump wants to build a wall to prevent the decimation of the United States, he gets a papal slam?
Trump hit back hard, but respectfully:
“If and when the Vatican is attacked by ISIS, which as everyone knows is ISIS’s ultimate trophy, I can promise you that the Pope would have only wished and prayed that Donald Trump would have been President because this would not have happened. ISIS would have been eradicated unlike what is happening now with our all talk, no action politicians.”
“For a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful. I am proud to be a Christian and as President I will not allow Christianity to be consistently attacked and weakened, unlike what is happening now, with our current President.“
“No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man’s religion or faith.”

Originally, I meant to include this within the last report on the suspicious death of reporter Gary Welsh. However, this is such an outrageous threat from a former presidential candidate – and sitting U.S. Senator - who is clearly not bounded by the truth, that it deserved to be the sole focus of its own report.
Ted Cruz, the junior U.S. Senator from Alberta, Canada, on Thursday – just 10 days after the death of reporter Gary Welsh, indicated on the syndicated Michael Berry Show that he is clearly thinking about getting back at those who opposed his campaign:
“Ya know there’s time for recriminations. Everyone who was responsible for the rise of Donald Trump, they will bear that responsibility going forward. But there were more than a few players who played a disproportionate role in that rise….”
Now I take that as a threat – not necessarily personally – but to everyone who told the truth about Ted Cruz throughout his campaign.
I just wonder if the Senate of the United States can do anything about this?

A federal appeals court ordered the IRS late yesterday to quickly release the full list of groups it targeted so that a class action suit filed by NorCal Tea Party Patriots can proceed.
According to Judge Raymond Kethledge in a unanimous decision by a 3-judge panel of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appears:
“The lawyers in the Department of Justice have a long and storied tradition of defending the nation’s interests and enforcing its laws — all of them, not just selective ones — in a manner worthy of the Department’s name. “
“The conduct of the IRS’s attorneys in the district court falls outside that tradition. We expect that the IRS will do better going forward.”
An inspector general found that several hundred groups had been illegally target for additional scrutiny by the IRS.
The IRS has apologized for its behavior, but insisted that it was all a big mistake made by overzealous employees.

Astonishingly, Socialist Interior Minister for the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Ralf Jaeger, yesterday continued to downplay the importance of the New Year’s Eve sex mob attacks in Cologne and shift the blame:
“What happens on the right-wing platforms and in chat rooms is at least as awful as the acts of those assaulting the women. This is poisoning the climate of our society."
Incredible insensitivity, or a desperate political diversion? Probably a combination of both. The leftist ideologues are seeing their dreams of a one-world utopia go up in smoke in a single season.
The socialist politicians may soon be looking for other lines of work. They have to find a scapegoat to blame - someone else, anyone else.
Why? German election season is just one year behind elections in the U.S. They have just one year to patch this over before having to face the rapidly-growing hostility of the German electorate in late September 2017.
Merkel has been riding sky high. Last month, she was named as Time magazine's Person of the Year, with the magazine's cover declaring her to be the "Chancellor of the Free World.”
Last May, she was named the most powerful woman in the world by Forbes magazine for a record ninth straight time. In both 2012 and 2015 Forbes named her the second most powerful person in the world, the highest ranking ever achieved by a woman.
Insiders say that this has put her squarely on the path for the Nobel Prize. But the Nobel Prize for what – the total destruction of her nation?
Experts believe that the evil fruits of the migrant invasion will not go away; they will only continue to expand. And now that the invaders are inside the EU, they can move freely to whichever nation provides the most free stuff.
In Britain, Jane Collins, a member of the European Parliament reacted to Minister Jaeger’s comment with outrage:
“How dare this dreadful man make such a comparison? He is wrong and he should apologise.”
“It’s sickening to think that Germany invited this type of disaster on its own women. The assaults committed this New Year’s Eve … was something out of the middle ages … a total clash of cultures when it comes to the treatment of women.”
“… all socialist politicians like Mr. Jaeger can do is try to vilify those who speak out against these dreadful acts.”
During the New Year’s Eve attack, one of those detained by police ripped up his German-provided temporary EU residence papers and said:
“I’ll get another one tomorrow. You have to be nice to me because Ms. Merkel invited us.”
According to Ms. Collins, German socialists cannot afford to admit they were wrong and deal with the problem honestly:

I wish everyone in this mighty nation could watch this. Trump would win in a landslide for sure without doing another thing to campaign.
It leads off with Rudy Giuliani – the former Mayor of New York – who speaks for 8 minutes and explains why the Clintons cannot fix the problems with inner cities – because Democrats have been in control of the inner cities for 50 years or more.
Democrats want the inner cities to stay just like they are. Why? Because they can then keep pumping the federal government for more money every 4 years to fix the problems, but the money never gets down to the street. It’s sucked away by friends of Democratic politicians on programs which are guaranteed to go nowhere and no one holds them accountable. So the next presidential cycle, the same cry goes up to fix the inner cities, more federal money is granted, and nothing happens – over and over and over again.
Then Reince Priebus comes on and talks for just 3 minutes and although I used to think he was just some knucklehead, I swear, his prescription for America will make you cry.
Then Gov. Scott Walker comes on to speak for another 3 minutes and you’d think he was Donald Trump’s son.
Then Trump comes on and lays out his plan just so wonderfully in 38 minutes.
