Agatha uses Poison and Ghost type Pokémon. The first Gengar has a 3-way combo of Confuse Ray, Toxic, and Double Team. Golbat will use Poison Fang to badly poison targets and make them flinch by using Bite. Haunter will use Mean Look to prevents its targets from escaping then Curse to make them lose HP every turn along with a Hypnosis-Dream Eater combo. Arbok will lower the target’s Defense stat by using Screech and Iron Tail with Sludge Bomb to add on and poison targets. The 2nd Gengar has a combo of Hypnosis and Nightmare. A move like Psychic will easily knock out the opposing team.

As you explore a new Rocket Hideout located underneath a shop in Mahogany Town, open the shutter in the hideout with 2 passwords and you’ll battle one of Team Rocket’s executives. Zubat will use Confuse Ray and Bite as a combo to make opponents less likely to move. Koffing will use Selfdestruct when in danger. Raticate will slow opponents down with Scary Face and make them flinch using Hyper Fang. After the battle, the executive will flee and talk to the Murkrow to get the password for the other shutter.

Cerulean City’s gym leader, Misty is an expert on Water type Pokémon. Starmie will be the hard part as it has great speed and Misty will sometimes use X Defend items on it. The Power Plant is home to many Electric type Pokémon and it contains items on the ground, which can fake you into encountering Voltorb or Electrode. After navigating the maze, you’ll encounter the legendary bird Pokémon, Zapdos. Save your game before you interact with it. Zapdos is on Level 50. This gym has icy surfaces that make its bearer skate, and you might want to push the ice blocks to a certain spot to get around. After each room you cross, the puzzle gets even trickier. Once you made it through, you’ll be able to take on the gym leader. Pryce uses Ice type Pokémon. Seel will use Icy Wind to lower the target’s Speed stat and Rest to fully restore its HP. Dewgong will use Ice Shard to strike first and Aurora Beam for a 10% chance of lowering the target’s Attack stat. If you transfer Raikou, Entei, or Suicune (must be from an event and shiny) from the Generation IV games via transfer system, equip one of these Pokémon and go to the Lostlorn Forest. A girl will step forward and make a roaring sound. Save your game before you approach her. Zoroark is on Level 25. Depending on which shiny beast you equip, Zoroark will impersonate the one that has an advantage. Once you attack, Zoroark will show its true self and it’s always female. After defeating Colress, go to the office of Ghetsis, where he will leave to the deep cave of the Giant Chasm. Before your way out, the Shadow Triad will ambush you and you have to battle all 3 of them. The first member owns an Absol that will use Swords Dance to power up and Night Slash for critical hits. The 2nd member uses Banette that will use Will-O-Wisp to burn foes and Sucker Punch to strike first. The 3rd member uses Accelgor that can use Me First to copy off a target’s move by striking first. Defeat all 3 Shadow Triad members and go into the deep cave.
