(x^2-2x-63)/(x^2+5x-14). State the excluded values for (x^2-2x-63)/(x^2+5x-14). In this free online math video lesson on Excluded Values we State the excluded values for each. We learn how to state the excluded values for (x^2-2x-63)/(x^2+5x-14). #excludedvalues #rationalexpressions #minutemath
Average Rate of Change. What is the equation of the secant line of y=1/(x+3); (-1 1/2) (-1/2 2/5)? We learn how to find the equation of the secant line of y=1/(x+3); (-1 1/2) (-1/2 2/5). We find the average rate of change of a function given two points and we find the equation of the secant line with the given points on the function. Finding the average rate of change with finding the equation of the secant line that intersects the given points on the function is a great introduction into differentiation and will prepare you for derivatives. This is under the topic of Differentiation with this free online math video lesson. #ratesofchange #averageratesofchange #secantline #differentiation #calculus #calculushelp #minutemath #onlinemathlessons

Relative Extrema. Find all points of relative minima and maxima of y=x^4-2x^2+3. We learn how to find the relative minimum and relative maximum of y=x^4-2x^2+3. We first find the derivative of the function. Then we find the critical points of the function. We then apply the first derivative test to see where the function is increasing and decreasing. This then helps us find where the function has a relative minimum or a relative maximum. We then use those x-coordinates and plug them into our original function to find the y-coordinate values. This then gives us all the points of relative minima and maxima. This is a great introduction into Relative Extrema. This is under the topic of Applications of Differentiation with this free online math video lesson. #relativeextrema #relativeminimum #relativemaximum #minima #maxima #calculus #derivatives #minutemath #calculushelp
