La police nationale espagnole a participé à une opération internationale qui a perturbé le plus grand réseau d'approvisionnement en cocaïne d'Amérique du Sud et a arrêté 50 personnes, comme le rapporte un communiqué de presse de la police espagnole.
À la suite de l’enquête ouverte en juin 2020 et de l’opération qui a suivi, 50 personnes ont été arrêtées et 1 500 kilogrammes de cocaïne, huit bateaux et 36 véhicules ont été saisis.
Le réseau de trafic de drogue a fonctionné pendant 20 ans sous la direction de son patron, surnommé El Profesor, qui recrutait des équipages de voiliers et coordonnait les transferts de drogue entre les deux continents.
