PS2 Underrated Gem: Crimson Tears
This is a series of gameplay vids I'm doing highlighting overlooked games for the PS2.
This one may not be for everyone.
When I first booted up Crimson Tears, it really reminded me of the quest mode in the Tobal, and Ehrgeiz on the PS1, and for good reason. DreamFactory, the developers of Crimson Tears, also developed those two previous efforts.
As you can see, CT is a mix between a dungeon crawl RPG, and a beat 'em up. It's a pretty fun little game for those who can get into it. Your characters gain levels, and you can buy and find items that are usable throughout the game including various weapons. There are also boss fights to be had at the end of each randomly generated dungeon.
Due to the nature of the game itself, it is a little repetitive, so some people will get bored with it, but those who stick it out will find a very enjoyable adventure. Also the game can get pretty hard, so make sure to level up your characters properly, and also be sure to keep an eye on your heat gauge.

This is footage of a bot Team Death Match in the PS2 version of Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. The name of the level is Death in the Orient
This bot match isn't bad. It's no Timesplitters, but it's fun for what it is.
I actually got the chance to play this game a few times online before EA took the servers down, and while I'd still pick the PS2 versions of Call of Duty over it, it was still a fun game. It was a good change of pace for when you got tired of playing other PS2 games online, and wanted something different.
Even though this game is no longer online on the EA servers, it actually does support LAN play. I'm not sure if it advertises that it supports LAN, but if you try to connect online, and then you fail, the game will then give you the option for LAN play. Those who know how to tunnel games take note.
The aiming in this game was never spot on, and as you can see, I have trouble aiming on the fly. It takes just a split second or two longer to line up a shot.
NOTE: I think my system selector box is going out, because this vid has some annoying interference in it that my capture card normally doesn't pick up, but it did in this vid.

My editing software doesn't do split screen very well, so I had to do the next best thing, play two similar runs, and show them in 30 second segments. I just got the Reignited Trilogy off a Steam Sale today, so out of boredom, I thought I would show a comparison of the original PS1 version as played on the Playstation 3, and the PC version of Reignited. I know I'm way late to the party here.
I'd say they did a fantastic job with the Reignited Trilogy. Some changes, and obviously some better graphics, but it feels as good as the original to play.

I previously owned this on the Gamecube, but this gameplay sample is the furthest I have ever played into this game, and it's actually a lot more fun that I expected. Of course there are some annoying insta-fail scenes thrown in, but as a whole, I was enjoying my time with this game today. For a kids game, it's pretty fun.
My apologies for having to mute the music, and edit out the cutscenes which still play the music, but ya gotta do what you gotta do to avoid dumb claims on your videos.

Since I put up two vids showing two hacked games, I thought I should put up one showing that you can still find legitimate games in the PS3 version of CoD4.
This is the only mode I really liked in MW on the consoles, and it's the main mode I care to play now. Granted, technically I'm not supposed to have it unlocked yet seeing as I'm technically only a level 17, but I went into one game in team deathmatch that automatically unlocked just about eveything for me (this is why I hate matchmaking games, and prefer ones that let me choose the game server myself), and gave me my rank icon. I was pissed off about it, but I can't do anything about it, so I decided that I should just go ahead and play the Old School mode since it's unlocked, and as I said, it's the main mode I really care to play.
I come in second in this vid which again isn't bad for a guy who only recently started playing this version of the game.

A while back I picked up all three Rocksteady developed Arkham games for a mere $8 on a Steam sale, and I like them. When one of them is annoying me, I'll just switch off to the next game in the series. Normally it's Arkham Knight that annoys me with it's stupid tank battle scenes, but I am slowly playing through all three in whatever order I feel like. I've put the most time into Arkham Knight, but they are all really good.
I remember watching a friend play this game when it first hit, and I thought it looked good, but wasn't my thing at the time. I've since come back around to play all three thanks to a Steam sale. The only one I owned previously was the 360 version of Arkham City which another friend gave to me, but I didn't play for the first time until I bought the Steam versions.
Anway, solid game, and while it doesn't have the big expanded maps of the sequel, it's still worth playing. It has aged very well, even when compared to the sequels. The early Unreal 3 engine graphics may not have aged as well, but they still look good. I like Unreal 3, the official engine of the PS360.
I guess I just need Arkham Origins to complete the whole set

This is a a short gameplay vid of the Sega Saturn Game GunGriffon.
It's a pretty fun mission based mech shooter. It's not too different from Armored Core in concept, except it doesn't allow you to customize your mech. It's more of a straight up mission based game over a sim like AC, but it's still fun if you're into those types of games.
Who doesn't like being a giant mech, and breaking s***?
The controls take a little getting used to, but they get the job done pretty well.
