Deep Rock Galactic (with Phoenix) - Hazard Promotion M.U.L.E.
This is the match that Phoenix and I had been working on earlier with the pub players, but we threw in the towel and opted to duo things with the bunker strategy. Despite it all, we still have 2 places where we nearly lose, showing how difficult this can be. Luckily, when we get through it all, we will never have to do this again. Until it is Crimson's turn... ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVfaV85KJCA
Peace never seems to last, and Sturm is back with lackeys in tow. Flak has attacked Orange Star and we need to get the group back together to drive him out. Due to how short the intro missions are, I have one for Andy, Sami, and Max so we can enter the game properly in the next video.
Flak is a weird mix of Nell and Sonja in that he can get lucky at times and unlucky at others. Due to his lack of consistency, he just isn't a good pick. What is even stranger is that his AI can be erratic at times, making it a little difficult to anticipate his moves, and he can't always mount effective counters.

We are mostly a passenger here as this game has a fairly unique tutorial unlike something I've seen before. Similar to the first battle of Final Fantasy Tactics, we have a myriad of guests around, and we can ride on their coattails as they explain the battle system.
In terms of story, we set out to rescue the Duke, which will trigger a war in the hopes of reclaiming the characters' homeland. Since I am not familiar with the series, I don't know if they share a world or chronology, so we will be doing the majority of this blind as we figure out the forces at play.
In terms of updates, this is something I will be doing on the weekends until Trails from Zero is completed, so you'll have to wait a few days to get the next installment. This is most likely going to be the final strategy game of a very packed year. I think it will beat Triangle Strategy, but whether it will take its place among the greats will need to be seen.

This one ended up being quite a bit easier than I anticipated, but that is moreso due to luck than strategy.
The basic unlock is to have at least 4 cards in the trash, then get KOed by redirecting with Star Knight Oath. It turns out, I am able to use Spite's self damage from the Safe House to instantly do this one. From there, you can either continue playing, abort, or rewind and beat him down properly.
As for Star Knight, she strikes me as a basic version of Captain Cosmic. Instead of giving constructs that are easily destroyed to others, she keeps things for herself, but they are more durable. As a result, she can deal some more damage, but the secret to her comes into play when mixed with other Sentinels from the original game. You have complete control over what is on the bottom of your deck, so you can abuse SS Tachyon and some other heroes, extremely well to get whatever you need, provided it was in your trash. Seeing as you can discard to draw with Star Knight, she has a lot of potential for shenanigans.
The only downside though is that there are no cards like Captain Cosmic's that destroy his constructs to turn them into nukes, making her damage as much lackluster as the rest of the Prime cast.

Here we are with one of the monsters with thousands of stories about the desire sensor centralized around him. Now that we are in high rank, it is easier to get plates, but there is now a ruby that you can get. Some weapons and armors will require it, but luckily for my gunning stuff, it is not a problem of mine. I did get the ruby in the update video I did last month, so chalk that up as proof that the sensor is real.
Anyway, Los is known as the King of the Sky due to how much time he spends in the air. This is a non-issue for me when I can shoot him from almost anywhere. If you want to fight him with melee, you will need Flash Bombs and patience to find the windows that you can't create. As long as you don't need his armor or specific fire weapons, take him down and move on.

In order to move onto the next hunter rank, I need to take on a monster that is HR exclusive. Jyuratodus first appeared in World, and just doesn't have much going for it I'm afraid. It may be different if I were using a blade, but instead I just need to stay in its face and fire down the body and it will drop quickly. What's worse, is I don't think there is literally anything redeeming to this monster. I do not know why you would want to farm this unless you are searching for crowns...

A new enemy appears here and is slated to be far more than it actually was. Sadly, it doesn't end here, so we will need to spend the next map actually bringing the dragon completely down.

Save before attempting this as you only get one shot. You need to do a timed minigame where you push a button whenever Sully touches the ground. You get more points for getting a perfect, so go for nothing less. Afterward, we get a scene to give us insight into Sully that only sets up more flags...

With Aesfrost on the move, we need to get to the castle immediately, which is where we find out protagonists. I will do the mental battle first for EXP, resources, and money, but then we will get into the one battle for the chapter. We essentially have to force our way in through the castle, so it starts with a small group and two waves of reinforcements. If you are trying to rush through, you can simply try to get Roland to the exit. Since I don't want to grind, I try to farm these guys, making sure to grab the drops in hopes of getting more resources. Sadly, losing one of my healers early is what I attribute to Hughette's drop, especially since I was playing her really recklessly to try to status bomb the enemy with debilitating darkness.
Other than that, there are two recruitments we get here, the versatile mage Narve, who covers all bases while specializing in none, and Hossabara, the bartender. I am fairly impressed with Hossabara here, but I am worried how effective she will be when we start finding spear fighters on the field.

This is one that I was not looking forward to, but necessary to get my ultimate weapon. Narga's gear all gives crit, but his LBG gives rapid fire Pierce. This will be my final weapon until DLC arrives, but we will switch back to Izuchi for when we finally make the jump into HR.
Narga is extremely mobile on account of being a feline like Barioth. They have some similarities in how they move, but there is no way to utterly cripple his mobility like you can with Barioth. His tail does come off, but it will not solve the quills/barbs that come flying at you. Just stay on your toes and bring him down, then get the weapon that will complete low rank.
