Vlog #165 My Mental Health Awareness Challenge 31 Days of May - Ride #17 or #31 - So far ridden 428 miles since the beginning of the month and raised £675 for Me two Health Foundation. Big shout out to all of you who have donated, thank you and thanks to all who have shown me your support, thanks also. So I’m riding to raise Mental Health Awareness for Mental Health Awareness week which is from May 18th to 24th. Not much time a week, but I’ve managed to bore you lot for half a month so far with it and will carry on doing so till the end of May, milking it to raise the awareness. Anxiety and Depression, Suicide and Suicidal thoughts are just a few issues that Mental Health can cause and the latter are life changing for many families and friends, I know. Lockdown is another heavy burden for most who already suffer, it can only make matters worse. I am fundraising for a good cause that is in most of our minds and hearts and with the one and only week coming up I decided to do this challenge. I’ve never done a fundraiser, as an adult anyway and have already been overwhelmed with the response from family, friends and followers thank you. VLOG #29 FLAB Social Ride Hampshire Weekend Myself and Neil FLambassador for FLAB Social Rides Berkshire met for breakfast with Tony who whenever he rides with us, takes the back for us, no question. The unsung hero, as its ok for us with organising and taking the pressure, but knowing he’s at the back we can be assured all will be well. So thank you Tony, hope you like your FLAB Jersey. I managed my first 100K adding 30plus miles on to the Saturday’s ride, so very pleased with the distance. For me I only did my first 50ml ride last year, once and this year I have been doing 50 plus miles most weekends from February. Glad I done it and don’t expect any longer rides soon. Saturday’s 21ml Route with 12 people and Sunday’s 29ml route with 7 people. FLAB Rides are for everyone who can cycle and as long as you can manage the mileage then you are welcome to join us, NO ONE IS LEFT BEHIND, as you can see in the vlog.
