After being homeless for some time, my friends took me to church. Life changing moment! #shorts
I was literally homeless in the streets of Birmingham. As an 18-year-old, it was an extremely tough situation to be in. And, the cold weather definitely didn't help either.
It was at that moment when I truly questioned my position in life. However, as fate would have it, my friends decided to take me to church with them. Just that one time was enough for everything to make sense!
Ever since then, religion has been a significant part of my life. It has given me a purpose and an avenue to help others!

This is footage of me on my way to go shooting with some of my brothers in Afghanistan!
One of my friends in Afghanistan had another friend, along with some locals from his village, who knew some members of the Taliban! We realized that the cost would be relatively cheap, and we would only really need to provide transportation.
As excited as I was, there was the legitimate possibility that I would end up getting thrown into some random ditch. But, I did not let my fear, nervousness, anxiety (or whatever you want to call it) stop me.
In life, you HAVE TO take a gamble in order to benefit a little bit. There's risk and there's reward. Except, going to Afghanistan was all reward because it's totally fun for me! ;)
