"WAT Klang Phra Aram Luang, Buriram" - TA5: 8th April, Day 14, part 1
day 14 part 1 of thailand adventure 5.
today we're leaving Buriram overnight stop heading towards That Phanom and our meet up with good friends Chuck and Paige, notime2bsad, which was an addition/replacement for the meetups that failed to happen. In anycase, meeting chuck and paige would be more enjoyable as it turned out.
But before we did, we visited a WAT, in the centre of town. Wat Klang Phra Aram Luang, which we'd passed several times. Of course, at 945am it was not open for visitors, but hey the architecture was great to look at.
Then we commence our journey towards That Phanom, with MANY stops along the way for toilet breaks.

An (early) morning monologue as we're rudely awakened by Meow and Nok, who have arrived from Bangkok. The kids, specifically Dew, was very annoying being up at 2am and trying to sleep in. No way. He woke me up with inconsiderate behavior so I got him up.

Day 17
We head off to the temple area to have a look round and battle the stairs and non-disabled friendly surfaces. Inside we say a prayer and give an offering.
Chuck and Paige wait outside for us to go around and look, because they've seen it all before.
A walk around the market is next on the list.
Back at the house there's loads of chat however I did not include most of it. It will be a special "Chuck's Wisdom", where I condense everything down to a few lines.

This is my 3rd documented trip to Thailand to tour the vast country, to visit family and meet people.
The day began with taking the elder boy to school because he invited himself to stay over. This was followed by noodles with duck, the notable part was the green colour noodles.
A day of lounging, ironing, kit-kat eating and discussing the fact that the youngest (age 5) was not at school for the 3rd day. The usual situation if he doesn't want to do anything or doesn't like you telling him no is to throw a tantrum and cry, which are on and off like a tap.
Later I please the friend of Wiyada who is half-thai and Swiss, to find her favourite song to sing in a drunken karaoke session! By the way she is single and looking.
School run followed by home cooked dinner and a visit to the local temple but it is spoiled by equipment malfunction.

Here's a kit review, showing the two rigs I have concocted from accumulated bits and pieces, camera, gimbal, audio and mic's.
One rig is mobile, having a 3-way foot and the other is the scooter version with quick release plate. The audio wifi receiver is interchangeable, as and when required due to the 3m scotch (velcro) material allowing disassembly very quickly.

Located in the old Castle, partly demolished by King Charles II because Taunton supported Parliament against his father during the English Civil War, this museum details the history of Somerset.
It has multiple floors although I didn't have time to see the upper area, there is a lift for access.
