Back The Blue faces off with Black Lives Matter
July 2 2020 - MANHATTAN, New York: A group held a rally on the Upper East Side near Carl Schurz Park to fund but reform the police, many of them holding the police blue-stripe flag. This rally was held not far from a Black Lives Matter vigil that is held regularly in the park. The pro-police rally was organized by a retired detective and it looked like about 40-50 showed up.
A counter protest arrived with signs and chanting slogans and the group inside invited them into the barricaded area and many arguments broke out, signs shoved into each other's faces, cursing and shouting, and eventually the police moved the counter protesters out.
Arguments continued along the barricade between the protesters and counter-protesters thereafter.
The pro police supporters broke out in singing the national anthem, and the counter protesters sang back "No Justice No Peace", "Black Lives Matter" and "Eat My Dick"

October 11, 2023 MANHATTAN, New York - The NYU chapter of Students Supporting Israel organized a gathering in Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village to condemn the attacks by Hamas in Israel, and to thank the Israel Defense Forces, and to say "They will never extinguish us".
Over 200 Jewish participants, almost all New Yorkers or NYU students, prayed for Israelis that were killed in the attack, spoke of the loving traditions of Jewish culture they grew up with in the U.S., and proclaimed "The pain we bring to Hamas will be 100 times greater than what they brought to us."
The group prayed for the safe return of hostages. A student leader of the group said "Let's remember all of the innocent civilians killed in cold blood by the terrorists."
After singing the Israeli National Anthem, some participants sang and danced to traditional Jewish songs.

May 8 2023 - MANHATTAN, New York, NY: People gathered inside and outside Broadway-Lafayette subway station where Jordan Neely was killed.
Protesters were seen BLOODIED and being thrown down by police as they were arrested on Houston Street just outside the Broadway-Lafayette train station in Manhattan on Monday evening.
This followed a vigil that was held for Jordan Neely in the train station where he was killed by Daniel Penny.
Independent photo journalist Stephanie Keith was arrested as well during the Jordan Neely Protest in NYC, police claimed she interfered with the arrest. Video shows her, among other press walking near the police while documenting the arrests as police ordered to get back on the sidewalk, when they suddenly grabbed her and placed in handcuffs. She has now been released.
Group marched on the sidewalk to the 7th precinct, as police marched in the roadway, announcing for everyone to get back on the sidewalk or risk getting arrested.

He was in fact agreeing with the Democratic Senator about the issue - "We are so divided at this point, me and Chuck have different political opinions - If there is one point where we come together in this country, it's for our veterans" said Lobaido.
LoBaido credited veterans with allowing and inspiring him to do what he does, and says that a country that does not take care of its veterans is not a country.

This comes as Columbia University prepares for commencement and the encampment is delaying construction of the commencement.
