Body Movements is my YouTube playlist that consists of essential isolation body movements for anyone interested in improving their dance skills. Each tutorial video provides specific dance-a-long drills to practice along with me. Practicing these fundamental body movements is the key to becoming a great dancer because it will build a solid foundation when you begin to learn intricate dance choreographies.
In this tutorial, we are drilling our knee movements. We have 3 specific drills: (1) expanding and contracting of the chest, (2) shifting side to side of the chest, and (3) rotating the chest clockwise and counter-clockwise. Each drill is about 1 minute long. It should be enough to build muscle memory and dance coordination. The challenge is to keep up with me throughout the entire drill in all 3 drills. If you can’t keep up at first, try again tomorrow or at a later time because building coordination takes time and patience. If you are ready, I’ll see you in the drills.
