This is the first of a series about my learning process in getting to know my way around the Arduino series of micro-controllers. This is my first exposure to the "C" programming language or working with uCs. These are just rough, not comprehensive, videos on my experience. The best UT I found on getting going was the one below: http://youtu.be/kLd_JyvKV4Y He gets to the crux of installation starting about twenty minutes in. ▶ Check out my gear on Kit: https://kit.com/HillOrStream ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPCYWTwrN98
Note! The deal I repeat in this video turned out to be a scam! Hughes has no such deal.
After long debating the pros and cons, I finally decided on an Internet Service Provider (ISP), a first step in moving my office North.

This is my first (maybe last) transit of this section from a trail south of M-37 to Spencer Bridge Access. I had done the section below from Spencer Bridge to Indian Bridge the day before and was surprised to find it very well cleared so I felt emboldened to try the stretch above. What could go wrong?!
These upper spans have a mild gradient probably somewhat less than the six foot per mile that is typical for most of the Little. There is nothing technical aside from the logjams. Unlike the section below, there are quite a few cabins in small groups between marshy spans.

Just playing with Movie Maker 6
Looking at different video editors, this was made with Movie Maker 6 by Xilisoft' trimmed with the UT editor. Had been using Video Pad or just UT's editor, looking for a good, free or cheap video editor, that is capable of effects like chroma key, but not too incomprehensible to learn.and use.Would very much like to know which software YOU use!

A brief look at a new camera I purchased from Amazon as factory re-manufactured. Did not come with batteries or a strap, did include a lens cap, USB cable, and a Quick-Start guide. I will likely do more of a review and comparison to my very similar Kodak Z5120 in the future, but right offhand the Kodak seems to have the edge on still shots as it shoots in a wider format that matches up with wide video where the Nikon shoots in a narrower format like my old Canon A720.
Also a little on a couple brands of NiMH "AA" cells.

Finally, on the last day of April, I tour the Southeast loop to complete my tour of this trail system. The mostly gently rolling country is ideal for cross-country skiing if one has the endurance to get back here this far on skis. Intermediate level similar to most of the Trailway. Good for hiking or a mountain bike, a fat tire bike is unnecessary. Signs of equestrian usage!

An unboxing and some first uses of a 40V Ryobi Pole Saw with a 10" bar. Generally, a positive experience for the first hours of use but it is a lot to handle full length and I will have to learn to manage it better. Use your proper PPE, at least safety glasses, and a hat, ideally, a hard hat. Set up shorter with one pole removed the saw was much easier to handle and I did some clearing of the trails through my back acres for another hour or more after trimming the trees in the yard, I had 3 out of four bars left on the battery at the end of the evening. I will likely do another update on using this saw in a few months when I have more experience with it.

A visit to the Windmills at Kinderdijk on the second day of the Rhine cruise. This array of wind-driven water pumps pump water to a higher level from one dike to the other. The modern pumping station shown early in the video now backs these up, doing the heavy work when needed.
