Sava's Safe Haven is a refuge of Animal Welfare that militates for animal rights and welfare. We care of over 250 dogs and other animals in our refuge from Galati. Beside all animals in our care, our team make efforts to rescue as many dogs as possible. Especially dogs in critical state or in danger of being killed. Today our team was involved in a new case of rescue. We saw three small dogs, in a forest on the outskirts of the city. A family composed of a mother and 2 of her puppies, they was searching for food. Starved and shy , we tried to gain their confidence with yummy food, we managed to capture 2 of dogs, but second dog screamed then the last one became more scared and has run away.. This scream allowed us to see the rest of puppies hided in a makeshift house. Mission started now, we run after dog ... and guess what. He left to the place where the family has gave birth to other 2 puppies! We managed to catch the 3rd dog after we took the puppies, she simply followed her puppies! It has been a touching image. We took them to the van, after family reunited they become more friendly.. Probably, is a mother with 2 puppies born approximately 1 year ago and same dog gave birth again to another litter of puppies.. A touching story but with a happy end. Donate for this little family! This shows again that our community needs more campaigns of spay/neuter and education population to bring their animals for free surgery to can avoid throwing unwanted puppies in street. A dog can give birth to 10 puppies or more each year!
