Monster Hunter Rise - Part 3 Lagombi and Aknosom (Multiplayer)
Blue has joined the fray, and we need to get him up to speed. In order to maximize his hunter rank gains without repeating anything we've already done, we take on Lagombi and Aknosom, neither of which are really any trouble as the time may suggest. Since he is stronger than he should be for this part and Okami has already promoted, I opt to use one of my better guns. You can see how much the damage has improved from previous videos where I tried to maintain parity with the others. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-TMgft05Q4
For the required quest, we need to locate a missing feline. Sadly, Shirley tags along for this, meaning I cannot progress all of the Kilika/Lechter chase until she bails, so while we get the Lechter side to an end here, we will need to wait to get Kilika's.
As for the cat, we got clues during the patrol she went home, and from there you just chase her into the theater. Lots of dialogue, and when it is all said and done, Sieg is waiting for us at HQ. However, one other thing has changed before we can take him up on the invitation.

Awhile ago we got an item from fighting a giant moth, but now we are able to put it to use, unlocking a spare cleric license when we get our initial one as well. We also pass a dungeon that has a somewhat valuable accessory inside, but we will be coming back for that later.
Upon reaching Montwise, we commence the usual looting, but this town has an annoying layout that makes traveling it a pain. We have to pass through the library to reach the wall of the city, and the library has multiple floors. Then on the other part of town, we have the coliseum, which will play a role in Hikari's chapter.
The most important thing here though is most likely the side quest inside the library. We are tasked with finding a trio of books, one of which is from the original game. This is one of the quests that must be done to fight the game's superboss, so it is something we must do, but not something we can do completely yet. We did come across one of the books so far, and it will be a little while before we come across the second one.

I managed to find a little time to record part of the next case, so here we go. The parts are broken up by when the game asks you to save, which is why two of them are here. If you notice, the first one happens only like 20 minutes in which is your exposition for the case, then we spend the next 70 minutes learning the players and pieces.
The context for this one is that we are researching the Eye at the local academy at the same time a murder takes place. Since the accused was with us at the time, Tyrion takes on the case and we need to unravel all of the chaos taking place at said academy.

Here we find the legacy left to us from our parents, an item that could quite possibly change the very universe. Sadly, right now it is just a watch. So instead of using it, we learn the rules to Logiship, which is a game that makes very little sense to me based on the descriptions they provide. You will see the game go badly when game day finally arrives...

While I normally try to showcase different roles and Pokemon, an event thing is forcing me to spend more time playing Defenders than usual. As such, we get a game with Blue where I play Blastoise, then go solo for the remaining games. The end of the video is me continuing the Speedster grind with some more Absol games.

That's right folks, before we can make sense of the insanity going on Erebonia, we need to first figure out what happened in Crossbell. We will be taking control of a member of Crossbell's law enforcement and witness everything first hand, and this person may be familiar to those of you who played or watched Cold Steel 2.
So a bit of information about this game, a 100% run is not possible on a fresh file, so I will have to play this twice in order for people to see everything. My goal is to get everything there is to find and do until we get to the final chapter. At that point, I may abandon the sidequests entirely and upload them from the second playthrough, but I do want to show how the boss fights are supposed to play out with the gear you get on your first run.
Additionally, this game features many of the changes you find in Cold Steel from Sky, in the way the Quartz system works now and some other features. Since this was the first attempt, it will not be perfect, but I'm sure if we keep a level head, we can find our way through.
Finally, if there are too many interruptions while doing this, I may re-record this section when things quiet down and upload it. The series will not be kicking off in full until Tuesday at the soonest, so brace yourselves.

This one isn't too different from normal mode. Adder has some more toys and some of them are bigger. You can still kite the AI around by popping in and out of fog while you poke them full of holes with your indirects. Like usual, the priority is wounding rather than killing. The reason for this is that wounded units take up the same space as healthy ones, creating a blockade, plus they deal less damage should one of them reach you. Containment is the name of the game, and it is a role Grit can excel at.

This segment was pretty annoying to me when I first did it due to every area having a gimmick of sorts and then one of the bosses has a gimmick that is hard to punish without AOE. However, if you know what is coming your way, this becomes a lot more tolerable, but you can still get cheesed hard by one of the bosses since you can't have physical immunity at this point outside of using an Attack Mirror.
The Temple itself is divided into 3 smaller temples. The Red Temple has the light and dark trick to it involving shadows, but has the most manageable boss of the set. The Black Temple is using a vertical gimmick where you need to climb to the top to reach the basement and fight the boss who will cheese you. The White Temple uses a random teleporting gimmick we've seen a few times now and will see more before giving you a multi target boss where all pieces have to be eliminated simultaneously or at least on the same turn before they revive the others. This is the reason why I'm not packing Deathbound, and I wanted Tempest (reliability).
Once you clear those three areas, you can then access the central temple where the first summoning will take place. And this is where you learn what is required in order to summon: a sacrifice...
We have seen these things here and there up to now, and I decide the time is right to take them on. Sadly, I don't know what all to expect in advance, so I do not always have optimal set ups for them, making them more annoying than they could be (joy of playing this blind), but we are able to persevere despite the heavy cheese they aim for. There are 3 of them to pop, and we will get all three and explore a new area behind one of the cryptids.
Additionally, I do one of the secret fish in this video, which is the Snow White. It is located on Bryonia Island, at a special one-time fishing spot that only appears after learning about the fish from Annabel. To my knowledge, there is no deadline on this, but you merely have to be able to locate her to learn about the fish before you can get it. There are a few more like this, so make sure to speak to the fishermen whenever you come across them, as it could be a clue as to where the next one can be found.
