Kayaking, Canooing, and Swimming at Lake Elphinstone (Mackay, Qld, Australia) on the weekend ... OOOoooops !!! (@MoosesValley)
Went swimming at Lake Elphinstone on the weekend ... and all I got was gravel rash ... Boy oh boy, things are really dry out here ... We are transferring water to bird baths and shallow kids pools in shady areas so the birds, echidnas, kangaroos, etc can get a good clean drink of water. We need rain !!!

Well, a Wallaby. Kangaroos are pretty awesome and I see them often in the wild where I live: when riding my quad bike, in the sports ovals of my local uni, in fields and paddocks when driving around, etc.
Here are the graphs I created to keep an eye on the spread of Coronavirus, and a demo of a simulation / animation I created to show the spread of Coronavirus.
Data is current up to: 10-Mar-2020.
Note: Coronavirus is NOT spreading exponentially. At this stage, there is NO CAUSE FOR ALARM.
Developing this animation is a great little assignment project for my students - so I'm not going to place the Java source code on a public Github yet. But there are links to the map and the data below. I might even do a "Build Your Own Software" episode on how to develop this animation.

I'm hoping to develop a Pixel Art application so I can have a crack at creating some of my own pixel art, and hopefully one day make a complete, coherent, professional looking computer game ... or at least make enough of a start on this to attract the interest of an artist with skills to join the project.
In Part 01, I explain what I am trying to do and why I'm trying to do it.
The code for this will probably end up on my My Github when it is done:

Green Turtle Rescue starring "Barnie" the Green Turtle with Moose, Murray, and Peter the National Parks Ranger.
A beautiful Green Turtle was stranded on the beach, so I contacted Peter the National Parks Ranger and we carried him back to the ocean, and watched as he headed for open ocean.
Video too long for you ??? Here's a short Version of the video:

If you find a stranded, injured, sick turtle on the beach, you can help:
* Keep the turtle cool, keep the sun off the turtle, and if possible keep the turtle shell wet - a beach umbrella and a wet towel across their shell will help them stay cool.
* Keep dogs, kids, etc away from the turtle - don't let dogs or kids harass the turtle.
* Call a Ranger or someone who can help.

A Giant Kookaburra. A friend of mine saw this being transported on a car trailer, and he phoned me because he knew I love this kinda crazy stuff. But we didn't know where it was going. It turned up a few days later outside a McDonalds of all places. So I took a quick photo. Will return and take a video - thing this is animated and makes Kookaburra sounds - it's loud and flippin' hilarious and sure draws attention !! It had a large crowd of people looking at it laughing. You sure don't see stuff like this everyday.

Awesome looking old trucks - like something our of the movies Cars and Mad Max. Want to return and take more photos and make a video about these, inside and out.
