A visualization of how a continuously variable transmission works using LEGO Technic. 2 motors, one differential, and a gear = infinite gear ratio. It's so simple it's crazy. 2 motors can independently drive 1 output shaft. True CVT without friction.
More about CVTs in these videos.
Engineering Explained talks about why one would use a CVT:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb6rIZfCuHI

This CVT used in a Lego RC car with 4 L-motors driving one axel, 26.4 KPH:https://youtu.be/DJ8Z-B373kI

Lego Raptor2' moves like a dinosaur by swinging it's head while walking like a real biped. The tail swings freely absorbing side to side torque. Steering is controlled by a small change of speed altering the bounce of an imbalanced gate. This basic leg design is what I used in Big Dog4.
See more about getting biped feet in the air in the first video
