Space Exploration Technologies Corp., doing business as SpaceX, is a private American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company headquartered in Hawthorne, California. It was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk with the goal of reducing space transportation costs to enable the colonization of Mars.[7][8][9] SpaceX has developed the Falcon launch vehicle family and the Dragon spacecraft family.
SpaceX's achievements include the first privately funded liquid-propellant rocket to reach orbit (Falcon 1 in 2008),[10] the first private company to successfully launch, orbit, and recover a spacecraft (Dragon in 2010), the first private company to send a spacecraft to the International Space Station (Dragon in 2012),[11] the first propulsive landing for an orbital rocket (Falcon 9 in 2015), the first reuse of an orbital rocket (Falcon 9 in 2017), and the first private company to launch an object into orbit around the sun (Falcon Heavy's payload of a Tesla Roadster in 2018). SpaceX has flown 18 resupply missions to the International Space Station (ISS) under a partnership with NASA.[12] NASA also awarded SpaceX a further development contract in 2011 to develop and demonstrate a human-rated Dragon, which would be used to transport astronauts to the ISS and return them safely to Earth.[13] SpaceX conducted the maiden launch of its Crew Dragon spacecraft on a NASA-required demonstration flight (Crew Dragon Demo-1) on March 2, 2019 and is set to launch its first crewed Crew Dragon in March 2020.

Researchers have determined the first 3D atomic-scale map of the spike glycoprotein of the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). Mapped by Cryo-EM, this finding from teams at the University of Texas (UT) at Austin and the National Institutes of Health is an essential step to allow researchers to develop vaccines and antiviral drugs to combat the virus.
The discovery may help amputees feel more control over their artificial limbs.
WHEN IT COMES to moving your limbs, you don’t need to see to believe. Intuitively, you know where your limbs are, as well as the positions they’re making.
This group is in the middle of a courtship display that includes some pretty impressive moves. When a female is ready to mate, she will walk away from the dancing group and her chosen male will follow close behind
Teamwork makes the dream work! Check out these bees working together to remove the cap of a honey bottle. Bees communicate through pheromones, odor cues that transmit information to members of the bee colony. Pheromones produced by the queen bee is how the hive is controlled. The pheromones from the queen can keep female workers uninterested in mating, and encourage male drones to mate with her. Pheromones are also used to notify of a threat. Once a bee uses its stinger it produces a pheromone that alerts fellow workers to attack
