On my morning commute on Tuesday May 23rd, 2023, I took Pershing to get to Damen due to traffic backed up on Archer, my usual route. In choosing Pershing, there is the risk of a slight delay due to trucks coming into and out of the asphalt plant near the Pershing and Damen intersections. This occurred on this morning so I waited with traffic in front of me. Along comes a driver in a Ford vehicle with Illinois license plate number DR 16568 and advertising on the side for Uber/Lift leasing with the phone number (773) 999-1500. This driver passes a vehicle behind me using the curb/bike lane then lays on the horn while I'm still waiting for traffic to move then again after the light has turned red. The vehicle ahead of me is able to drive forward out of the intersection then vehicles proceed from Damen onto Pershing while the Uber/Lift leasing vehicle lays on the horn apparently wanting me to go through the red light. The vehicle that had been previously passed pulls up on the curb/bike lane beside the Uber/Lift leasing vehicle then after a short time, proceeds to pass me on the curb/bike lane while the light is still read. The Uber/Lift vehicle also passes me on the curb/bike lane and goes through the red light while giving me the middle finger. The light changed to green just a few seconds later and I proceed through the intersection behind the Uber/Lift leasing vehicle then make my way into the left turning lane so that I can proceed onto Damen Avenue and hopefully get to work. The Uber/Lift leasing vehicle proceeds into the curb/bike lane and pulls up to the red light arriving as I do. At this point we have a motorcycle westbound on Pershing run the red light and then the Uber/Lift leasing vehicle runs another red light and proceeds eastbound on Pershing.
