So, I've never seen the water temperature on my rise above the first small tick mark on the gauge, just below 165, before the fan clutch would engage and start cooling the radiator. This means, the switch is bad!!! Having another switch from the parts truck, I replace it. I also have a problem with the park position of my wipers. This video is a companion video for the transmission oil flush, oil and filter change... there was an update that I wanted everyone to take note of, so they did not have a accidental spill of fluid. Also included in this video is a pro tip about NAPA Kool... to prevent damage to the engine from bubbles forming in the antifreeze. But wait... that's not all! I also go over how to fix a stuck seat belt reel. See the insides and working of the reel and fix it before you throw it away. Lastly, I use 80/20 rail to mount a header to for the rear wall. When you have to dump the old stalk batteries that came with your FMTV, a quick and relatively easy battery box modification might be necessary. For me, I am needing to consolidate the batteries to gain extra space for a battery equalizer and battery tender unit. This modification includes pulling the original battery tray and replacing it with a uniform surface. This would also be a good time to inspect and service the polarity distribution block (PDB) to ensure all is well. After the scene has been prepared, new batteries hooked to the PDB and a battery tender will be the subject of part two of this series.
