Thought we could brighten up the day with these bright feel good colors on a black background. I added Liquitex Pouring medium to each of my colors and added just a few drops of Treadmill Belt Lubricant. I was pleased how the colors really popped on the black background. I used Apple Barrel black, white and cobalt blue. DecoArt Dazzling Metallics coppers penny and bluegrass green ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_d7IZNVbg5o
No dirty pour on this one! Four colors - light ivory, sea mist, spice brown, and Mississippi mud. Clean pour - with no particular definition - tilting manipulation and a hair dryer! Great color combination to try!
Happy pouring!

Ya'll - this was so much fun! I really did not initially know how it would turn out - but I was super pleased! I used the dark navy (which is what I am using in that bathroom), I loved the metallic brown! The metallic silver did not have a huge showing - but gave that little bit of contrast needed, as well as the black. The place I purchased this cut-out - which is an awesome place, by the way, is called Build A Cross (https://www.build-a-cross.com). They have a cut out of everything you can imagine! So --- don't be afraid to pour on different surfaces!
Happy Pouring,
Kathy

I used DecoArt Elegant Finishes in Renaissance Brown. I thought I had picked up one called copper penny - clearly I picked up the wrong one - but I really love the finish. I purchased it at JoAnn's. You can see other finishes and ideas at www.DecoArt.com
My pot was blue - one I have had for years and needed it to be red! I painted the pot with Apple Barrel craft paint.

Welcome to TUESDAY TIPS! Have you been wanting to learn pour painting, but just didn’t know where to start? Today’s tips covers --- mixing the exact same amount of paints with (1) straight medium (Floetrol), (2) Floetrol (70%) and water (30%), and (3) with just water. The result were interesting. Not a lot of variation between the straight Floetrol and the one with the Floetrol and water. However, the one with water – where I diluted the same amount of paint to a similar consistency as the Floetrol mixes!
Happy Pouring!

Product used for this review: American Crafts Color Pour paint kit. The package came with 4 pre-mixed bottles of paint. You do not have to add any pouring medium - it's already mixed! This is a great kit to try for a one-time pouring. If you plan to do more -- it is not very cost effective.

For this pouring project I used an 11 x 14 canvas. I poured Apple Barrel Foliage Green, Fountain Blue, Apple Barrel Territorial Beige - as a dirty pour. For the cross I used metallic antique gold and chocolate bar. Mix 1 part paint to 2 parts Floetrol (different mediums may needed to be mixed differently). Since I did not care for all the stripes in the upper part of the canvas - I altered some true blue and the metallic antique gold and poured over them! I was super happy with the results. I dipped my cotton strings in some white (also mixed with Floetrol) to create my flowers, aka Easter Lillies. The cross was just a regular cookie cutter. I let the first pour sit for about 20 minutes before adding the cross. I then let that sit for about 30 minutes. I was happily pleased with the results!
Happy Pouring!

So ya'll -- this is such a fun, easy way to do a pour/swipe! Who does not have paper towels? Be sure to squeeze all the excess water out - because you do want it to just be damp. Just gently lay it over your swipe area (in this case the center) - then gently pull. You don't want to pull all the paint off! However, should you pull more than you would like -- not to fear --- just add some color back - and your "swipe base" - which is what we used in the center of this one. Above all else --- HAVE FUN! I love you all --- thank you, thank you so much!
Happy pouring!

This was so much fun! Choose three or more colors and create something! So - here is the link to the little sink strainer I found. As I mentioned, I had a hard time finding it - so hope this link will help.
