Armed Off Duty Cop Arrested near Robert E Lee statue
June 20 2020 - RICHMOND, VA: A 38-year-old officer was charged with trespassing after he was allegedly spotted with a firearm on the roof of an unoccupied building overlooking the Robert E. Lee monument in Richmond, Virginia, police said Saturday.
He was spotted on top of the building by multiple people, was reportedly armed, taking photos, flipping people off and going through his backpack, police urged people to leave the area.
SWAT team members used a loudspeaker to communicate with the individual who was taken into custody shortly after.
Protesters have been camping out at the memorial for over a week demanding its removal, and counter protesters have been threatening them on social media and defending the statue.
Police identified the man as Riley O'Shaughnessey, an off duty officer with the Richmond International Airport Police Department. Riley was not charged with a weapons-related crime because he was legally carrying the gun.

December 2 2020 - MANHATTAN, New York: Dozens of people gatheredon Fifth Avenue across from Rockefeller Center to witness the tree lighting despite the event being closed to the public.
Several NYPD buses were parked along the avenue with black plastic sheets between them to obscure the view and prevent a crowd from gathering. Eventually someone in the crowd ripped off the plastic so at least some in the crowd could see the annual event.

June 13 2021 - QUEENS, New York:
A Lyft driver was killed in an early morning crash in Fresh Pond, Queens.
According to the NYPD, when officers arrived to the scene they observed an unconscious 47-year-old man inside a 2016 Toyota Rav4 with bodily trauma. EMS responded and transported him to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The NYPD collision investigation squad determined that the Lyft driver was driving on Fresh Pond Road through the intersection of Eliot Avenue when his vehicle was struck by a 2014 Ford Explorer. The driver of that vehicle was a 22-year-old man who was taken into custody and removed to Elmhurst Hospital for evaluation, with charges pending. The police are still investigating.

June 29 2022 Manhattan, New York – Pix11 reported that a suspect has been taken into custody in a fatal shooting if Azsia Johnson, UES woman who was pushing a stroller near a park. Person placed in custody is father of Asia’s child, and Azsia’as Ex Boyfriend, according to officials.
A 22-year-old Isaac Argro has been arrested and charged with murder along with criminal possession of a weapon in the fatal UES shooting, police say.
The murder suspect was walked out of the 19th precinct by detectives to an awaiting jail transport vehicle.
Azsia Johnson, 20, was shot in the head while walking with her 3-month-old baby near Samuel Seabury Playground on the Upper East Side, has died. Incident occured on Lexington Avenue and E95th Street around 9pm on Wednesday evening.

June 18 2020 - RIKERS ISLAND, New York: Around 12:30pm, a detainee climbed a recreation yard fence and ran to the shoreline, the suspect was apprehended by department of corrections staff. According to correctional spokesman Peter Thorne. The inmate when captured said that he'd escaped with another man, Aviation and harbor units were searching for the additional inmate. The additional inmate has since been apprehended. Officers were sent to the hospital, the inmates have no reported injuries.
Music in the background is reportedly played every time an inmate is freed in celebration.

Cini rode an electric scooter around Father Duffy plaza with the flag waving behind him in the wind.
Onlookers pointed and chatted about the spectacle. "It might be any Trump, that's why it just says Trump 2024, it doesn't have any specific names," said Cini.
