Part 21: Creepy Castle Pt. 3 & King Kut-Out
And we finish up Creepy Castle. There isn't much but problem is that the mini games are becoming annoying. A reason why the game hasn't aged well in some parts.
At the end we face off against an actual cut out of King K. Rool. Thing is, we're this close to the end and the Kremlings know this. So they decide to bring out an actual cut out called King Kut-Out. There isn't much with this fight. All you have to do is launch yourself into the kut out to hit it. Hit it three times and a part of him will be cut out. But should you miss, you lose a kong and move to the next one.
Phase 1 is simple enough. Launch yourself after you avoid his lasers and he does it twice. Phase 2 is tricky as a copy will show off. It's always the opposite of where the real one Is.
Phase 3 is a real piece of work. After he shoots you twice, he'll move to a total of six spots. Best advice is after the first time, count and once you reach the sixth spot, launch. Do it before he vanishes or else you lose a Kong.
If you know what you're doing, then it's the easiest fight in the game. No joke with that. It's that damn easy.
Part 22 will be some final prep finding the remaining Golden Bananas before we tackle the last world.

Rydia has been healed of desert fever. Now she joins our fight as the resident White Mage.
Cecil and his gang reach Mt. Hobbs. Rydia conquers her fear of Fire to unlock the Fire spell. It's then they encounter a monk named Yang Fang Leiden dealing with monsters. Seeing him in trouble, Cecil and his group decide to help.
Yang is the Monk of the group and like many others is a temporary party member. He has access to claws as weapons and can use Focus to double his attack on an enemy target. In addition he has the Kick that attacks all enemies. His Brace ability lets him take less damage.
As for the boss battle, you're up against a Bomb. It's a bit simple at first but then after a bit, it inflates to become a Mom Bomb. Continue the fight as normal. If things get dire, have Edward, Rosa and Rydia heal the party. This will help especially when the Mom Bomb explodes into six smaller bombs. Focus on attacking and you'll do fine.
Yang joins the party but that won't matter much. Trust me. I damn mean it.

Rating for Evox Unleashed: 10 out of 10
Evox/Venjix has the access codes and uses it to divert Morph-X control to the central tower. Grid Battleforce orders a full evacuation of Coral Harbor and Devin hatches a plan to stop Venjix once and for all. It's now a fight to save the world against a menace who had already destroyed one in another universe.
IT was intense. A truly intense finale and considering that it involves a villain from RPM, also serves to provide closure for that series too. From start to finish, it was action-packed and how Venjix went down is insane and shows how a team the Rangers are. Though Steel going down hurt. It just hurt. But there was a happy ending to it all... Steel returns as a full human. Guess he got his wish after all.
We also get an epilogue set a year later showing what has happened. Plus a cameo of General Truman from RPM. Honestly, I feel that Beast Morphers is a pseudo-sequel to RPM. I don't know why but it just is. At least with Evox/Venjix's final defeat, it means that there is finally closure for that show. Finally at last. All of the epilogue did was set up a surprise party for Steel. A happy ending throughout and overall, it was awesome.
My video on the series overall will come but not for a while. I need time.

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
Playthrough | Part 1
Another game that I figure need some coverage. I did the original Super Mario Land years ago and it wasn't a long one either. Now we try our hands on the sequel: Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.
This game came out in 1992, three years after Super Mario Land came out. The story centers on Mario having to deal with a new menace: Wario. Wario is basically the opposite of Mario. He comes in, takes over his castle and locks it down with six Golden Coins. They're spread out in six different areas and now Mario must work to gain them, send Wario packing and reclaim what he lost.
Compared to the original, Super Mario Land 2 is a massive improvement. For starters, Mario has to travel to six different areas each with bosses that will test you. It also has secrets that you need to find in order to obtain full completion.
In Part 1, we complete the first three zones: Tree, Space and Macro. Part 2 will cover everything else.

Star Fox Adventures
Playthrough Part 9: Volcano Force Point Return & 4th Spirit Test
With the third Spellstone, we need to return to the Volcano Force Point Temple. That way we can return it to where it belongs. Not very hard considering that it'll be the last time we visit it.
As for the Fourth Krazoa Spirit, if you have already gotten the Large Scarab Bag and have 130 Scarabs with you. Head to the Shop and purchased that Golden Root. Return it to that Snowhorn mammoth and he will have you do a trial. If you remember that Horn you got at Darkice Mines, you need it in order to use it at specific spots. It can take a few tries but once you complete it, you'll have access to the fourth trial.
The Fourth Krazoa Trial however is so damn easy that I rather not want to talk about it. I'll tell you anyway. You need to keep pressing the A button to move the item and you'll get it done in 10 seconds. That's all there is. Return to Thorntail Hollow and then head to Krazoa Palace so you can release the fourth spirit. After that, you need to find another Gatekeepers but when you do, he'll unlock the way to the fourth and last area, Dragon Rock.
Dragon Rock happens in Part 10 and there's a lot that goes down. I do mean a lot for good reason.

It began with a camping trip and Ollie really loves his tech. Too bad it ends up doing more harm than good. But when Void Knight decides to dampen things, it only has the Rangers in a situation. So it's up to Ollie and his tech to get them out of this mess.
This episode's an Ollie-focused one and I really enjoyed it a lot. Sure Ollie's a techie but it's this tech that helps the Rangers get them out of this mess. Although I question Void Knight's methods in doing so. Regardless things are getting interesting and it's a pretty solid episode. Plus with the debut of Dino Fury Megazord Fortress Formation, I say it's pretty good.
Watch it if you haven't. It's on Netflix. Take your damn L Nickelodeon.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster
Final Fantasy VI | Part 1: The Wheels of Fate In Motion
Product provided in this video by Square-Enix. This is part of my purpose to playthrough all six of these.
Five Final Fantasy games are down. Only one remain and we save the best for last. Fitting because today marks the 30th anniversary of it's release. Welcome to the last of the Pixel Remasters & the last of the SNES era of Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy VI.
Final Fantasy VI was released on April 2nd, 1994 after a year of exhausted development. North American players would have to wait six months to get this. We would get it on October 11th, 1994. It would be known as Final Fantasy III. Speaking of that, the script for this game had to be done by Ted Woolsey in just 30 days. The fact he was able to do it in such a tight deadline is insane. Truly insane.
Many consider it to be one of the greatest RPGs of all time and rightfully so. It was a huge success in both Japan and in the US. Although I can't get over the fact Nintendo Power of all things gave the game a 3.725 out of 5. With the complaints being of the sprites & animations, the story was sappy and not written for an American audience. Who in the literal hell wrote this garbage? Seriously. It's stuff like this that is why RPGs especially from Japan don't get appreciation. I say this as someone who grew up with them. Why? Because it was the first Final Fantasy game I ever played and back then, I wasn't that good. I'll explain my feelings about it as we go along.
But anyway, on with the game. Hironobu Sakaguchi didn't direct the game. He would produce it. Directorial duties were split between Hiroyuki Itoh (made the battle system) and Yoshinori Kitase (Sakaguchi's protege). Nobou Uematsu would return to do the score for the game & it's without a doubt fantastic. In terms of story, it centers on a world that was recovering from a war 1000 years ago, the War of the Magi. The Gestahlian Empire is on the move hoping to get their hands on powerful magic in hopes of ruling the world. But a ragtag resistance is all that stands in their way between saving the world and a second War of the Magi.
This part introduces us to several main characters. Up first is Terra Branford, a Magitek Knight who was part of the Empire but not by choice. After she was freed, she would end up being rescued by an adventurer named Locke Cole. Together the two would escape Narshe and head for Figaro Castle, meeting with it's king Edgar Roni Figaro. It's also here we meet the main antagonist, Kefka Palazzo who's after Terra. What follows is the wheels of fate in motion as Terra may be this world's last hope against the Gestahlian Empire.
