After navigating the maze, you’ll encounter the legendary bird Pokémon, Zapdos. Save your game before you interact with it. Zapdos is on Level 50. Since it knows Drill Peck, try using a Pokémon that has a dual Rock/Ground type, like Golem or Rhydon for example. Use Ultra Balls and sleeping status moves.

Bruno has 2 Onix and 3 Fighting types. If you attack Hitmonchan with physical attacks, it will use Counter if it ever survives one. It will also use Mach Punch as a finishing move for a first strike. If Hitmonlee is on status problems, it will use Facade for double the damage and can use Foresight to even make Ghost types vulnerable. Even if Onix uses Double-Edge, it won’t suffer due to its Rock Head ability. Machamp will use Bulk Up to raise Attack and Defense stats then Cross Chop for critical hits. A move like Psychic would work best for this battle.
