If you like watching someone walk through a supermarket and not buy anything, this video is for you! In this one I go through my favorite larger supermarket. In this Emart in Incheon (Gyeyang-Gu) I check prices of various supermarket food products, including produce, drinks, meat, snacks, condiments, and generally try to avoid the alcohol section.
Today I go to a park in Gye yang gu and talk about the old men at my free gym fighting over something silly. Mostly I just watch a soccer match. Oh, and lots of roses. Roses for days.
In this addition of America Abroad I take a brief jaunt through a toy store in South Korea. It is also Wednesday so I am using Math to figure out how much the price of things would cost in my home country. Today's exchange rate from USD to KRW was about 1 : 1320.
A self service store, or "unmanned startups" as a book i'm reading calls them, are an interesting concept. Kiosks, self service product displays, credit cards, all lend themselves to a new type of business. One that would be destroyed in a month in USA for sure, so let's check out some in South Korea.
