This is Paytaca's Plan For Creating a Closed-Loop Bitcoin Cash Economy in the Philippines
I interviewed the Paytaca team in Tacloban City, to delve deep into their plan for transforming the Philippines with widespread Bitcoin Cash adoption. They talk about onboarding merchants, their incredibly fast BCH vending machine, meeting new crypto users, developing a non-custodial super app, and how a closed-loop Bitcoin Cash economy and blockchain governance could improve the lives of families, particularly those giving and receiving remittances.
This video was filmed late November 2022 before the onboarding had launched. The next and last long video will show my return in December to Tacloban to tour the new Bitcoin Cash accepting merchants around town with Aaron.

For the premiere episode of Season 2 of The Nudge, we head to El Salvador to ask locals what they think about Bitcoin. (And find out what they know) I'm joined by Erika and George of Mi Primer Bitcoin, an independent group focused on educating people on what BTC is, and how to integrate it into their lives, for investment, wages, and daily purchases.
For this episode, we start in the central market of Santa Ana, El Salvador's 2nd largest city. We find some people who don't know anything about Bitcoin, people who love it, and much more. I share some observations from my first week in SV, and offer an idea about what you can expect in the coming weeks of this trip.

Watch as I wander around this massive aquatics complex in Tbilisi — Opened in 1978 under the FSU, and closed forever in 2014.

On this episode of The Nudge, we take a trip to the very top of the city of Tbilisi, to witness the massive pillars that make up the Chronicles of Georgia. 16 pillars, standing 30m tall retell the 3000 years of history of the region that we know today as Georgia. In 1985, Georgian Zurab Tsereteli began sculpting this massive monument under the Soviet Union. By 1991, it had fallen, and with the project running out of money, construction ceased. Today you can visit this mostly complete complex, free of charge, to learn about the history of this country.
