This is the beta release of Cool Herders for the Nintendo DS - a canceled game playable in emulation and on hardware (if you have a way to do it). I am the original copyright holder and I have built this release to share what might have been with people.

My first game for DOS, way back in the early 90s. I was coming to terms with it using a free 16-bit DOS compiler, limited to 64k code and 64k data.

Shortly after publishing yesterday's video, I found a tuning issue in the codebase, and with the better tuning it sounded a lot better. So here I reconvert some of yesterday's tunes and briefly run through a new one to show what it's like. MODs are not the best source for the SN, but you can get a decent starting point!

Then on New Year's Eve he takes on Solstice at Nocturnal!
Danur is a hyena wrestler in the UFW. He was a ranger-type protecting the wilderness of the forests of Rithandren until he joined UFW!
Thanks to Neko for the recordings!

This document describes how to install 32k memory expansion in the console with just 2 chips. It does NOT provide the 16-bit modification, so runs at the same speed as the official memory expansion does.
This was taken at Canada's Wonderland in Toronto, probably in '93 or '94. A full dolphin show. The audio is a little rough due to numerous video tape transfers.

Not a pretty demo, but just something quick to show it running on the TI. The compiled C player is a fair bit more expensive to run than the old one though, so I'll have to take a stab at optimizing it.
A hack of FinalBurn to replace the Afterburner jet with Rainbow Dash. While I didn't take this project any further, I talk a bit about it here.
