Note on cleanup:
Noise reduction (NR) removes frequencies - a balance has to be struck between removing noise and retaining the quality of the audio. Amateur chappies, who don't know their arse from their elbow, are quite happy mangling music in their quest for NR and, after a few moments of misuse, produce a cowpat. Even moderate (mis)use of NR results in a flat, lifeless sound. Reverb is also artificially created as a by-product of inept NR.
