Unmanned probes have hugely contributed to our knowledge, and advances in robotics and artificial intelligence are making rovers and orbiters more and more autonomous. They don't need a life support system, and no one on Earth is waiting for them to return. Proponents of human spaceflight often argue that only humans can flexibly react to deviations and solve problems and that a human is superior to a machine. For now. Because soon, machines will also be able to respond flexibly and solve problems. Unlike humans, machines will be able to examine an object in the entire electromagnetic spectrum and thus be superior to human examinations on-site. So, what is the point of manned space flight, then?

The answer to this question is hot metal, diesel fumes, and barbecue. The reason for this is mostly dying stars because the by-products of the rampant combustion are smelly compounds known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

The video describes the search for Exoplanets. Numerous worlds have already been discovered and the discovery of a second Earth is only a matter of time. Some scientists like Geoff Marcy paved the way, others like Debra Fisher are still searching.
