The tallest pipe after the other one is the one you can go through for coins underground and as a shortcut. If you choose to continue ahead, you’ll see more mean girls and one garbage block containing multiple coins. One block above a camel rider contains a Star that makes you temporarily invincible, allowing you to defeat any enemy while flashing. You’ll see more mean girls up ahead and cross over 2 small staircases. Show Professor Oak at his lab in Pallet Town that you have both Kyogre and Groudon on your team. Both must be caught at the Embedded Tower in order to advance. Once you do, you’ll receive a Jade Orb. With the Jade Orb, return to the Embedded Tower and Rayquaza will be there. Save your game before you interact with it. Rayquaza is on Level 50. Since you’re battling inside a cave, Dusk Balls would be recommended to capture it.

After you have the National Dex, go to Celestic Town and speak with Cynthia’s grandmother, so that she can tell you about the legendary Pokémon. Retrieve the Adamant Orb in Mt. Coronet and go to the top where the Spear Pillar is. You’ll see a Blue Portal when you return and save your game before you interact with it. Dialga is on Level 70. Its signature move is Roar of Time, which causes massive damage but forces recharging the next turn. Ultra Balls and Dusk Balls are recommended.

For this course, the wind will blow you to the side, so be sure to keep steering in the direction that is desired to avoid being pushed to the electric padding by the side of the track. There are dark gray zones at a distance after starting the race. After turning, use the speed zippers to get a speed boost. Mid-way through is a healing zone. Turn again and you’ll find one more speed zipper. Complete 5 laps to finish.

Vermilion City’s gym contains trash cans. Interact with the trash can to see which one has a switch under it. Once you find the first switch, find the other one. If you’re wrong on the 2nd one, you’ll have to find the first one again. If you find both switches in a row, the motorized doors will open so you can battle the gym leader. Lt. Surge uses Electric type Pokémon. Most Electric type moves can paralyze targets. If you have any Ground type Pokémon, like Diglett for example, that type won’t suffer anything from Electric type moves. After the battle, you’ll receive the Thunder Badge and a TM24 (Thunderbolt). Thunderbolt has a 10% chance of paralyzing the target.

Go down the pipe and you’ll see a Goomba in Kuribo’s Shoe. Hit the block from below the Goomba in the shoe so you can take over the shoe. In Kuribo’s Shoe, you can jump higher and stomp Spinies. You can even cross over chomping plants without any hazard. Go down the next pipe and continue ahead. After more pits of chomping plants and pipes, go up the pipe at the end to find the goal.

As you climb the stairs, watch for flower pots emerging from the open windows. Sewing machines will throw gears, so keep clear of that as well. Urban thugs will release trash cans that roll down the stairs, so take them out quickly. Use the falling platforms to scale the rest of the skyscraper and you’ll enter another pizza challenge contest presented by Domino’s Pizza.

Marshal uses Fighting type Pokémon. Throh will use Storm Throw to always get critical hits along with Bulldoze and Rock Tomb to lower the Speed stat of opponents. Sawk will use Rock Slide to make opponents flinch. Mienshao will use Bounce to paralyze opponents and switch out by using U-turn. Conkeldurr will use Bulk Up to raise its stats and Stone Edge for critical hits. A move like Psychic would be good for this battle.

Go north from Mahogany Town to Route 43 and you’ll find the Lake of Rage. Surf on the lake and you’ll find something going on a rampage. Save your game before you interact with it. Gyarados is on Level 30. This one is no ordinary Gyarados. It’s a different color in red better known to be a Shiny Pokémon. You’ll have only a 1 in 8192 chance of encountering a Pokémon of a different color in the wild. Nonetheless, this red Gyarados would be a good addition to your collection. Using Great Balls and status problems like sleeping would be recommended. After the battle, you’ll receive a Red Scale. Lance will be on land knowing about the rumors, so you should talk to him as well.
