Michoacan. received a threatening message on his official cellphone.” the department wrote. It is not the first time that the violence in Michoacan – where the Jalisco cartel is fighting turf wars against a collection of local gangs known as the United Cartels – has threatened avocados. the state’s most lucrative crop. In August 2019. a U.S. Department of Agriculture team of inspectors was “directly threatened” in Ziracuaretiro. a town just west of Uruapan. Americans have yet to see a justification for Ukraine joining NATO: Tulsi Gabbard
Fox News's Tucker Carlson asked former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard why no one has been able to explain why Americans should want Ukraine to join NATO on ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight.’ TULSI GABBARD: I've looked at this carefully. Tucker. and I have yet to find any benefit that a political leader has used or could use to justify this to the American people. All you hear is like. 'well we have to defend democracy. We have to defend this democratic country of Ukraine.' But as you know. very well. this current [Ukranian] president. you know. shuts down. arrests political opposition. throws them in jail. shuts down TV stations that are critical to him. I have a hard time seeing how President Biden or anyone can say with an honest face. ‘we are defending democracy.’ And the reason is because our own government has publicly supported these authoritarian actions by the Ukrainian president in shutting down their own political opposition. and it begs the question. This sounds familiar to some of the things that unfortunately. we're seeing play out right here at home. WATCH THE FULL INTERVIEW HERE:

Opinion: With Ukraine under threat. Americans need to prepare for cyber war
Russia so far hasn’t used conventional troops or weapons to attack Ukraine. but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t attacked. It has been doing so relentlessly for years using electronic and psychological weapons. The United States has been a target of this. as well. especially in regard to disinformation and influence campaigns surrounding elections. But something much worse could be coming. But now the stakes are higher. Rather than continuing endless partisan wars. Americans should be uniting in an effort to prepare for what might be a serious attack on its electronic infrastructure. This should be given the same sense of urgency that a pending military attack would awaken. The consequences of a real cyber war are something all Americans should consider. As Joshua C. Huminski of The Hill wrote on Sunday. the United States hasn’t seen what a real cyber war looks like. “There have. of course. been cyberattacks. intelligence operations and criminality online. but an open war in cyberspace has not yet happened.” he wrote. Think along the lines of the 2017 “NotPetya” attack on Ukraine. in which some computers belonging to the financial. business and power grid sectors were wiped clean. Think of massive ransomware attacks. hacking and other mischief that puts financial systems and government at risk. If Russia invaded Ukraine and the United States responded with severe consequences. as President Joe Biden has promised. the next step might be a full on cyber war. Last month. Politico said hackers had disabled more than 70 government websites in Ukraine. Microsoft found malware planted in Ukrainian government systems that could be triggered remotely. A year ago. a report by the cybersecurity group Proofpoint found a majority of global chief information security officers worldwide saying they were unprepared for such a thing. according to The Hill. Earlier this week. FBI officials asked companies in the United States to tip them off to “any increased (cyber) activity against Ukraine or U.S. critical infrastructure.” That includes any attacks against financial. health and energy concerns. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency also issued a “shields up” alert. recommending all organizations. large and small. “adopt a heightened posture when it comes to cybersecurity and protecting their most critical assets.” These threats are a step up from tactics in the past. which were geared toward exacerbating political divisions in the United States. Young Mie Kim. a professor at the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Journalism and an expert on political communication in digital media. uncovered many of these tactics leading up to the 2020 election

NJ police under fire after cuffing black teen in mall fight as white teen watches
A New Jersey police department is being criticized after two officers handcuffed and pinned a black teen to the floor during a weekend mall fight while the white teen involved in the feud was left to sit on a couch. The Saturday fracas at Bridgewater Commons — and the police response that has sparked an internal investigation — was captured on video that quickly spread on social media. The teens started out arguing with each other before things turned physical and the two exchanged punches and shoves. the video shows. Two officers from the Bridgewater Police Department arrived seconds later and pulled the white teen away from the other boy and pushed him onto a nearby couch. With the black teen already on the floor. the male cop pins him down and places his knee on the boy’s back. the video shows. The female officer then leaves the white teen alone and joins the male cop. also placing a knee near the back of the black teen’s neck as the two handcuff him. While the two cops are subduing the black teen. the other boy can be seen standing up and looking at the arrest taking place. “Yo. it’s ’cause he’s black. Racially motivated.” a person can be heard saying. The black teen. identified as Kye. told NBC News in an interview that he confronted the other boy. who had been bullying his friend. “He was kind of saying. like. ‘You’re a little kid. you’re my little pet.’ and stuff like that.” Kye said. Kye’s mother. who also spoke with the news outlet. slammed the police response. “It doesn’t take two cops to hold a 14 year old boy down who’s not resisting. while the other boy is just kind of going free and still going off on my son. It just doesn’t make sense.” she said. Gov. Phil Murphy said in a statement posted to Twitter that he was “deeply disturbed by what appears to be racially disparate treatment in this video.” In a Monday Facebook post. the Bridgewater Police Department announced that an internal probe would be conducted. Commenters to the department’s post voiced outrage at how the officers handled the situation. “Those officers need to be held accountable! Immediately!” one woman wrote. “We want an independent investigation. If we are going to restrain youth. both should have been restrained. Blackness is not more threatening.” another person said. A third Facebook user said: “Clearly they targeted one over the other. It is disgusting and evidences the reason why the African American community has no trust in the system whatsoever. Very upsetting.”

US small donors help fuel Canadian 'Freedom Convoy.' GiveSendGo confirms
The 'Freedom Convoy' of Canadian truckers that have been peacefully protesting in their country for weeks over the government's COVID 19 vaccine mandates have received significant support from Americans. according to the crowdfunding site currently facilitating donations to the group. GiveSendGo says it is still running the numbers. but it confirmed to FOX Business on Tuesday that it estimates roughly half the donations it has collected to help the group came from small donations made from the U.S. ‘THIS IS CANADA IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE A FREE COUNTRY'. BRIDGE BLOCKADE PROTESERS SPEAK OUT AFTER POLICE MOVE IN The confirmation comes after a hacker took over GiveSendGo's site over the weekend and posted a purported list of 93.000 donors to the Freedom Convoy's cause. along with a manifesto condemning the Christian crowdfunding site and the Canadian truckers. No credit card details were leaked. GiveSendGo co founder and CFO Jacob Wells told FOX Business that he could not confirm the validity of the entire distribution list being circulated at this point. but said prior to the hack it did appear that there was 'a pretty even split between donations coming from Canada and donations coming from the U.S..' and that 'the average donation was quite small – less than $100.' GiveSendGo became the fundraising platform for the truckers after competitor GoFundMe shut down a fundraising page for the Freedom Convoy on its own site a few weeks ago. when donations surpassed more than $10 million. ‘HE JUST GAINED MORE FREEDOM FIGHTERS’: TRUCKERS REACT TO TRUDEAU INVOKING EMERGENCIES ACT Derek Brouwer. a Canadian trucker and part of the convoy. told FOX Business that while he can't speak to the numbers. he has received an outpouring of support from Americans he does business with from Florida. New Mexico. and Georgia. He said a handful of them call him regularly. saying. 'We're really vouching for you. we're praying for you guys.' and that it's encouraging. 'We don't know what our expense is going to be on this.' Brouwer said. talking about the impact on drivers who are part of the Freedom Convoy. 'But I've already had someone basically say. 'if they take your truck. I'll buy you a new one.'' Brouwer says he's never lived in the U.S.. so he doesn't 'know why. exactly.' Americans are being so supportive of the Freedom Convoy's cause. but thinks it has to do with 'the restriction thing.' adding that 'it really bothers them down there.' 'They don't have nearly the restrictions we have. but that's because I think they're a little more independent than we are as [individuals].' he told FOX Business. saying he believes the protest has brought Americans and Canadians closer together.

More COVID money won't cover up Biden's failures
After pumping trillions of dollars into the economy over the last year. the Biden Administration is reportedly coming back to Congress to demand even more money to deal with the president’s COVID 19 crisis. Indeed. 2021 was a year defined by crisis. Inflation reached a forty year high; the southern border experienced the biggest surge in illegal immigration in a generation; and now America under President Biden is facing a nationwide COVID testing shortage. Video shows hundreds of blackbirds falling from the sky and crashing into pavement
Hundreds of blackbirds were seen on video falling from the sky in Mexico and hitting the pavement. Some died on impact. The circumstances surrounding the event led some to question whether it was pollution or 5G on social media. However. an animal expert told The Guardian it was likely a predatory bird that led the flock of birds to the ground. Security camera footage recorded the incident on Feb. 7. according to the local paper El Heraldo de Chihuahua. Residents in the community saw hundreds of blackbirds dead on the streets and sidewalks and called police. Dr. Richard Broughton. an ecologist with the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. told The Guardian he believed there was a raptor who chased the birds and drove them to the ground.
