Earth Sheltered Home: This was the really the second day for the steel studs, but we didn't catch a video the first day. The steel studs and metal lath are really just fancy integral formwork to catch the shotcrete that will form the solid structure later. Thanks to my brother-in-law, John R. for taking vacation time to come out and help. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLlSZwhqHKs
You may recall that I buried the footings last November (for various reasons)... Well, it was time to excavate them again and I had a hard time finding anyone willing to do the work. Its a good thing I have 2 sons ;^)

This one is about using the press break roll to make copper tiles for the parapet ridge on the garage of our earth sheltered home. The Harbor Freight Press Break Roll worked well. The copper was from Menards.
And did I mention I got a new microphone? So thumbs up if you can hear me better.

In preparation for shooting the gunnite on the roof of our earth sheltered home, we needed to put up some forms that would keep the concrete up in the right place. The radial vaults have simple curvature, so the plan was to build the forms from boards pressed up against the steel arches. Making that happen took some compromises in the plan. As usual, challenges arose. Enjoy.

Installing the windows on our earth sheltered home...
We had no experience installing windows and I couldn't even find one about installing on a concrete and stucco home, so we figured it out. ;)
