In this episode;
We're leaving Belize and setting sail for Guatemala. Our friends the Haines from Vancouver Island have joined us for the trip and after a really great day of sailing we drop the anchor at Trés Puntas, the staging anchorage for our next days entry into Guatemala. But the next day things change drastically for the crew of Saltair3 and it's a stressful trip with near zero visibility as we sail across Honduras Bay, to the anchorage at the town of Livingston, where the customs and immigration offices are located.

St Martin is an amazing island worthy of lots of time, but Hurricane season is a concern and we want to be outside of the Hurricane Box (South of 12 degrees N) as soon as possible.
In this episode we haul anchor and set sail S.E. for Statia and then onto St Kitts. After leaving Statia the winds and waves, contrary to the forecast, change, making what should have been a short beam reach passage, much longer and harder fought... check it out.

In this episode we finally arrive in Grenada considered by many cruisers to be the final point South. It is an amazing country as have been so many of the island countries we've explored along the way. Krista and Brad get hit with the Zika Virus and it has us down and out for awhile. Krista seemed to get the worst of it and we spend some time touring the islands of Grenada with a Steel Drum band concert at the end.

In this episode; After months of being without an engine and months of waiting for all the parts to arrive, we're finally off the dock and moving again albeit it a short hop to the boat yard. After the new rudders (see next episode) were installed, the steering quadrants were installed backwards, and once again with just one engine, controlling SA3 is challenging in the most awkward of moments.

Only a few places left in Asia practice the age old ritual of giving early morning (6am) alms to the monks.
This is the only food they receive for the day.
We were lucky enough to be a part of this in Luang Prabang, Laos
A very unique and ancient experience in Asia and a unique Cultural experience for our son Cole. He is learning so much through travel.

This time we sail from Black Point to Georgetown but over the very shallow and nerve fraying Exuma Banks where we touch bottom and risk getting stuck high and dry many miles away from anyone. Then after a hike up to the highest peak in the Exumas, it's anchors up and we leave for Elizabeth Harbour.
