Home on anything with any tool automatically on an Ender 3 pro
In this video I show an alternative homing method which is a bit similar to the BLTouch. This method uses a modified quick tool change base and its possible to home on any surface of any thickness with any tool with just an ordinary homing switch.
I start the video with that I think I have something better than the BLTouch. I haven't even seen one in real life, let alone used it, so there's no way for me to be sure about this. Based on what I have seen I think that this method works better for my situation, but please leave a message if you think differently :)
The firmware I have used: http://marlinfw.org/meta/download/ The lines of code I have adjusted: #define Z_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING true // set to true to invert the logic of the endstop. // set to true if using the normally open connection #define Z_MIN_PROBE_ENDSTOP_INVERTING true // set to true to invert the logic of the probe. // set to true if using the normally open connection #define Z_SAFE_HOMING // uncomment #define FIX_MOUNTED_PROBE // uncomment

In this video I try to modify a CPU cooler made for a Raspberry Pi into a hotend for a 3D printer. If this works it has some interesting possibilities because of the heat pipes. These heat pipes move the heat elsewhere, so the filament path could possibly be a lot shorter than usual.

In this video I start working on that enclosure I’ve been telling about. I wanted to make a simple enclosure, but then I started designing one out of sheet metal. 247TailorSteel was willing to make and send the parts made out of laser cut aluminum. The design is pretty daunting to make, but they’ve managed to do it! Everything fits and I’m still blown away by the result. I really hope you enjoy this video!

In the previous video we destroyed the 3D printed ABS rim and instead of printing a new part I managed to repair it. Instead of acetone which is the common solvent I used methyl ethyl ketone or MEK for short to buy me more time with such large parts. I started with a 50/50 weight ratio of MEK and ABS which turned out to be perfect. It is however recommended to add a little MEK a day before you're going to use it because it will get thicker over time.

My last video in which I tried to print a rim failed due to a unreliable joint between two filament spools. In this video I try to make a rig with which I can join filament in a reliable and consistent way. It is a bit experimental and I show the process itself. I hope you like this one!

In this video I'll show you how I create a double sided PCB with my Creality CR-10 printer without using alignment holes. This is a follow up of my previous video in which I did not succeed fully. I have learned a lot making that video and I use that gained knowledge in this one.
I have had a lot of fun making a PCB on the printer and I will definitely do this more often. I highly recommend to try this yourself if you want to do more than just 3D printing. Remember to do this at your own risk, but I am always willing to give advice. Don't hesitate to leave a comment or contact me if you have questions, suggestions or remarks.

Replace M3 with M106
Replace M5 with M107
I have adjusted the first z height to 6mm to prevent the drill bit from collapsing into the corner piece.

It took a while, but I'm ending this year with a fully 3D printed rim out of ABS! The reason for using ABS is because it's affordable and already difficult to print so I can properly test the performance of my 3D printer. You'll see that it still isn't perfect, but we're getting there! I hope you enjoy this last video of 2020 and let's make 2021 the best year ever!

In this video I show how I build an enclosure for the Creality Ender 3 pro. This will not be an IKEA or other furniture, Tupperware, photo studio tent solution. Maybe this is a bit overkill, but I am sure this is well worth the effort. This video covers the build of the wire frame and due to the amount of work and information I decided to split the video into two videos. The second video will be about adding the panels and other cool stuff. At the moment of writing my CR-10 is printing the parts needed for this second video so it is a bit tricky to announce it already but I am convinced that the end result will be awesome!

In this video I show how I use the generic tool holder which I have created earlier to add a laser engraver to my Creality CR-10 printer. I found out that the black XPS plates I had left from my old apartment which are used for subflooring are perfect for cutting with a low energy laser. I created several things with this material which came out great. A friend of mine asked me if I wanted to cut out something for him too and since I was planning on creating a video about the laser engraver, this could be well combined. He unintentionally sent a non-perfect picture which makes it a bit more interesting and over all I think the result is awesome.
The four things I use for laser cutting:
1. The laser module
2. The Creality printer
3. The Quick tool change https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3369444
4. The material https://www.kwantum.nl/ondervloer-super-comfort-antraciet-0126000
