Today I'll show you how to make a gallon of Watermelon wine. Nice pink color and easy to make wine. Ingredients are: Juice of a large watermelon 3 cups sugar 1/2 tsp acid blend 1 pk of wine yeast. I used Red Star Primere Cuvée Fermentation starts in a about a day or two and last to up to 10 days.

1 gallon water
1 pound sugar
1 pound frozen triple berry mix
1 can frozen lemonade concentrate
Half teaspoon tannin
1 tsp peptic enzyme
1 pk Red Star cuvée Wine yeast.

Let's take our cider making to the next level. Time is right to start preparing apple seeds for spring planting. They first must be cold stratified. Basically put seeds you get from your apples and place them into a damp paper towel. Then into a zip lock bag. Into the refrigerator for 60-90 days. These trees will not be true to type. Meaning that a seed from a granny smith will not produce a granny smith apple. It will be more along the lines of a crab apple. Which are good for cider apples.

You've bottled up a big batch of hard cider. It's carbonated to perfection. Now what? To prevent any farther fermentation you will need to pasteurize that tasty brew. You pasteurize to prevent bottle bombs and to stop the carbonation to where you think it's best. I love a carbonated homemade cider, and if I make a larger batch than 3 gallon I pasteurize it. I have witness first hand that sound of bottles breaking and spewing cider everywhere. More importantly so has my wife. Learn how to pasteurize those bottles.

It’s brew day! How to make cider on a $20 homemade press. Two c clamps and two metal pans. That’s it! I think I forgot to mention it in the video, but I did modified it by placing a 1x4 on the top pan. Also in the future I’ll chop my apple in a blender than using the pounding method.
