I have this Yaesu VX-1 daulband transceiver and the battery has failed, some time ago I was watching a video from BigCliveDotCom he dismantled an old e-cig or vape device and showed that they contain rechargeable batteries, I have found a few and dismantled them and found a 13400 battery that is half the physical size of the yaesu battery but has a similar capacity, as you can see in the video it works.
