D.C. is boring right now. I mean there is nothing going on. Photographers are spending this week sending equipment in for repairs because there isn't anything worth taking a picture of. It's also been raining for a few days so kind of gross. Nonetheless, today I went out for a stroll by the White House, checking out the Visitor's Center before heading up to the VP's house to watch helicopters land. Monday saw me with too much to film and too little time. I had to miss the 50 or so people getting arrested at the Capitol, but I did see Marine One and a few dozen people protesting at the White House and in Georgetown. Just when I thought I could have lunch, I get a call for more arrests near the White House, and then I ran into Zelensky's motorcades zipping around downtown. Marine One departed the White House Ellipse landing zone this morning on the way to Andrews AFB where the President was making a trip to Detroit. I wasn't able to get to my normal position so I filmed from far away on Constitution Avenue. It's pretty hard to make out much of anything from this distance, but it's always fun to see these helicopters in the final few flights before their retirement this Summer. We then went up to Pennsylvania Avenue to check out some fences that have been removed to allow greater pedestrian access, and came across the Vice President's motorcade coming to the White House grounds via the back door this morning (different entrance from yesterday). We then finish with some roast beef for lunch. Got up pretty early this morning to catch Marine One coming in for a landing, with a couple of decoys in tow. Then it was off to get a burger before stopping by a building that doesn't exist near the Jefferson Memorial. I mean it is there but all the official details about this building are basically missing. While on the subject of missing, what happened to t he POW/MIA Flag at the US Capitol?
