A great friend from the Philippines visited our beautiful home here in Greene county North Eastern Tennessee. He had a drone video gadget and took filmage of our property. This house is on the market to sell at this date of September 27th, 2021. It simply not only is showing our home but also the countryside we live in here. We are very close to the Smokey Mountains and love the creeks, mountains, hiking trails and beautiful atmosphere.

I do a sit down to share why we choose to do what we are doing now in the stage of our lives. This is stepping out in faith and believing the unbelievable. If your in your 50s, 60s or even in your 70s, you'll want to hear this.

My first ever 5 mile river Kayaking trip and wow! I was told for every 1 hour of Kayaking, a person can burn 400 calories. I probably burnt around 1600 calories yesterday. The time was just around 9 am when we began on Saturday the 8th here at Lake Roberts near Sanger Texas. Approximately 45 min commute from my front door. I actually thought I could have been in the Amazon or Africa with all the wild life and tropical noises that was heard. Even though parts of the trip we had to hike it through the very shallow parts of the river, for the most part, I was in the Kayak and what a great experience. Hope to repeat this again someday with my brother Ron and his family from Sparks Nevada. Blessings to all who watch this.

Today is March 17th and it is day 17 with our incubator. 45 eggs from Myshire Farm were placed in our Nurture Right 360 incubator that I recently purchased at our local Tractor Supply store.
The 45 eggs went into the incubator on March 1st 2022. From the time of the eggs being freshly laid and shipped by UPS from Ohio, was only 3 days. I had let the eggs rest from the ups delivery for 24 hours. That was on day 28th February 2022. On March 1st, the 45 went into the incubator. Thus, on March 15th, it was Lockdown time. I took all 45 eggs out of the incubator and candled them all. I discovered 5 of them were not fertile. And I disposed the 5 non fertile eggs. The remaining 40 fertile eggs were put back into the incubator at 99.5 F. Humidity went from 45%, now up to 70 to 75 %. Today is the 17th of March. With barely 48 hours since lockdown, we discovered an egg pipping already. Wow! Praise God. At least one of the eggs is alive. lol..
It has been quite an afternoon today and evening. It's now past 10:30pm. I'm in my living room and the Quail are in the spare bedroom with the door closed. I hear the CHIRPING!
Our last count this evening was approximately 9 or 10 and more to come. I have no idea how many more we will hatch but hopping for the best.
I discuss the brooder and grow out/layer cage. I hope you'll enjoy this video. Blessings, Wayne & Aida

Beginning our new life, ministry and homesteading. We are Tennesseans.
We have now officially lived in our new home here in Tusculum Tennessee for a month now and I have not yet explored what's behind our home which leads to the Nolichuckey river. Just a short drive. Today it got into the 30s and it has been cold and rainy. The scenery though wintery, was still beautiful and I had no idea that our home was so close to the river and we are living where people are building half a million plus gorgeous custom homes.
(Please note, we might be living near these exspensive homes but our 2017 built 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home is modest and small. As we down sized from our home/acreage in Texas to a simple half acre beautiful land area here in Tusculum.)
Farm life is plentiful here and we are looking forward to purchasing local dairy here.

We grew these tomatoes from 2 potted containers with 4 tomato plants. Total success and today Alda and I made our first ever salsa from the produce of the homestead.
