he just got his daily dose. he also recorded this all by himself. -Edit , he passed away recently :( and i still miss him every day! the screaming by the door when i get home, jumping on my shoulder when I'm not paying attention, for attention. he suddenly stopped eating and the cause stayed unknown for 2 weeks, i force-fed him all this time, trying everything from different kinds of fish, cat food, whatever i could find on Google. he sometimes even ate by himself! the last day, he suddenly screamed unusually, like he was actually hurt. even tho he was on antibiotics & painkillers. that's where i decided he shouldn't have to suffer anymore... i still regret that decision everyday, in a certain way. making that choice for him without him knowing, anything. but at least i know he went in peace and with loads of love. they did an autopsy to see what the cause was and it appeared to be Sudden pancreas. while it could have been FIP and infected the other cats (16 currently with newborn Maine Coon kittens counted) his name was Uli, and he was born in the Czech Republic in a vacation house where we stayed a week at the time. his original owners didn't care much about the mother as she was pretty much a wild cat. we asked what they were doing with the 5 kittens, and the woman didn't know, her husband get rid of them somehow was all she knew. we could not live with the idea and smuggled them through Germany all the way back to the Netherlands. feeding them every 3 hours because their mother was still in Czech. one of them unfortunately died young, and Uli almost did not make it because he got food in his lungs. the 4 of them lived together with our other cats for about 10 years. until Uli passed away a week ago... Uli was named after a German girl named Ulrike with whom i hanged with every year on vacation years back when i was a kid. I Loved her. we had a lot of fun together when we were kids. i really miss having a buddy like Uli around. but I'm not rushing for a new cat like that. he has to be as perfect of a fit as Uli was. and he'll get even more love and training! it's going to be the best runner-up most awesome cat I've ever known!
