After exploring the cargo hold, the next stage is a secret warehouse by the dock, where Fat Cat stows aboard. The sight serves as a giant freezer, which is so cold that you have only 3 minutes to spare in order to explore the area. The stage contains rats riding snowboards and chickens on ice skates. As you ascend watch for falling icicles. Turn left and fans will give you a lift, but be careful not to touch them. Continue to ascend, but more danger lies ahead, and you have no time to spare. Once you see an open door at the top end, you’ll make your way out of the freezing storage compact and complete the stage.

Cross a vine bridge and find the first DK Barrel by a hill of Klap Traps. After some bouncing Kritters, the “K” letter is by a Zinger. Go to the next landing and do a spin-jump combo to reach a landing for the “O” letter. Break the crate to reveal Expresso and go all the way back to where you found the first DK Barrel. Fly left from that point and you’ll reach a secret landing with a tunnel. The first bonus area has letter wheels of all Animal Buddies. Spell them out for the tokens. Back in the main area, turn back left and cross a bridge with Manky Kongs throwing barrels. The “N” letter is on the hill with more Klap Traps. Use Expresso to fly where you got the letter and use a barrel to reveal a hole in the wall. The 2nd bonus area has 3 manholes that can be broken by bouncing off the tire. Back in the main area, go to the big hill and grab another barrel to reveal a hole in the wall. The 3rd bonus area has 2 manholes that can be broken by bouncing from the tire. Back outside, use the barrel to break another hole in the wall. The 4th bonus area has the “G” letter in the manhole. Now grab the barrel again and cross a vine bridge with a Manky Kong to break a hole by the arrow sign. The 5th bonus area has an Expresso crate and banana arrows. Go back outside and you’ll find the exit.

After exiting the starting cave, the path outside has Hissies in pipes and incoming Flyers. Up ahead, after a door that leads to an optional cave, there are many pipes full of Hissies. After 2 Pyros, go down the vine to enter the underground. Dig through the sand and watch for Bad Blobs. Keep digging through and you’ll find the door to the boss room. Spittle will shoot 3 objects at once, including eggs and fireballs. Use the rocks to throw at Spittle to make it easier. After 3 hits, the jewel will appear so you can grab it to open the Mask Gate.

After solving the mysteries in the Sealed Chamber, go to Route 120 and you’ll find the Ancient Tomb. Use Flash in the middle of the room and the way will open to the room where Registeel is in. Save your game before you interact. Registeel is on Level 40. It has a move called Superpower, which inflicts great damage but also lowers the user’s own Attack and Defense. Keep using Ultra Balls if you have any left.

After getting 4 badges and the HM03 (Surf) from Cynthia’s grandmother at Celestic Town, you can now enter the gym at Hearthome City. This gym has signs that quiz you and you must pick the right door to go through to get the question right. If you guess right, you’ll enter the next room. If you guess wrong, you’ll face a trainer. After guessing 4 questions right, you’ll battle the gym leader. Fantina uses Ghost type Pokémon. Drifblim will use Minimize to make itself harder to hit then Ominous Wind to sometimes raise its stats. Landing the finishing move with contact on Drifblim causes its Aftermath ability to reduce their HP by a quarter of the maximum. Gengar will use Confuse Ray to confuse opponents then Poison Jab to poison them. Mismagius will use Magical Leaf as a never-miss attack and Psybeam to confuse opponents. After the battle, you’ll receive the Relic Badge and a TM65 (Shadow Claw). Shadow Claw has a high critical hit ratio.

After beating the Elite Four, you’ll have access to enter an unknown dungeon known as the Cerulean Cave. The Cerulean Cave has been edited in this version with mazes and water all around plus items around the corners. Once you navigate the mazes, go to the B1F of the cave where you’ll meet Mewtwo. Save your game before you interact with it. Mewtwo is on Level 70. If you still have the Master Ball, it would be the time to use it. Otherwise, use sleeping-inducing moves and Ultra Balls. Mewtwo will use Recover when low on HP and Psychic to lower the target’s Special stat. Its Swift attack can’t be avoided and Barrier makes it much more defenseful. This is the last side-quest of the game before your mission in this game is fully complete.

After receiving an Enigma Stone from a certain event, go to the museum at Pewter City and Steven Stone will be there. Show him the Enigma Stone and a scientist will examine it, which turns out to be some Soul Dew. Soul Dew will raise the Special Attack and Special Defense stats if held by Latias or Latios. Afterwards, go back outside and Latios will be waiting. Save your game before you interact. Latios is on Level 40. Its signature move is Luster Purge, which has a 50% chance of lowering the target’s Special Defense stat. If you use Pokémon of opposite genders, try using Love Balls to catch the opponent.
