A weekend at March, Cambridgeshire. Wind didn't really let up until the sat eveining when most people got up for a flight. Deano and Pascal from Paramania put on a bit of a display on the new Fusion. Paul Bailey showed off some new 4 strokes. At night we were all entertained by RMH's son playing the guitar.
Shot on a Sony CX7. Edited on iMovie 09

Taking off from Glen Brittle, I spent 1 1/2 hours flying around the Cuillins. Maximum altitude 5000 feet. By the last 1/2 hour of the flight the clouds had started to cover most of the hills, and it had started to get quite thermal, so landed back at the campsite. Some amazing scenery, Probably one of my favourite flights ever along with the first Ben Nevis Ascent. As usual - all shot using Stubilizer prototype.

7pm flight taking off from 1700m. Wind was strong and gusty. Even the pros were struggling. I screwed up first attempt and in the rush to get off, I didn't realise the wing had swapped around when it was laid back out, so turning resulted in a complete twist. Unfortunately I was already running by then, and it is a STEEP slope. There was no way I could stop easily, and my brakes were all caught up because of the twists. I do tend to make stupid last minute decisions in situations like this... and they usually end badly.. however this time I got away with it - one 360 pirouette later and I just made it before the rocks and got airborne!!
