War is coming - Hrvoje Moric, Geopolitics and Empire Podcast
This is hands down one of the very best interviews on the Potkaars channel since I started it two years ago. Returning guest is geopolitical journalist and history teacher Hrvoje Moric. We talk the upcoming elections in the US and how it matters not who wins as the inevitable outcome is likely a further totalitarianist decline, which history teaches us typically leads to war. In the end it will be the military who decides the outcome. In the end, who will the men and woman holding the guns support?
this is the second part of a two chapter interview, the first half being published through the geopolitics and empire channel. In the first half we talk about the covid1984 situation in the Netherlands and the Julian Assange extradition trial that has resumed on the day we recorded both interviews back2back.
Uitspraak 26 april.

The song that tells the story of Julian Assange, sung by David Rovics. In the video you see clips of the war crimes Julian Assange reported on, of rallies in his support and of Julian in prison and in court fighting extradition, as they're being sung.

On Potkaars:
Behind these prison walls there’s a man who’s won awards
For the work that he has done and all that it affords
Such as the knowledge of the horrors committed in our name
They can’t stop the message, so the messenger gets blamed
Behind these prison walls, in solitary confinement
In a land of rolling hills and royalty and other such refinement
Is someone who is a hero to whistleblowers everywhere
Who helped them tell the world of the crimes of Tony Blair
Behind these prison walls you will find a mortal man
The reason why we know what happened in Afghanistan
When the soldiers of the empire whose sun set long before
Were torturing civilians in their terror war
Behind these prison walls is a part of Wikileaks
An eloquent orator, but you won’t hear him speakh
Locked away in silence, one who knows too well
How those in power act when there’s another war to sell
Behind these prison walls is one who stands accused
Of exactly what offenses, the US has refused
To say precisely which, or to try to clear the mist
Or to explain how he’s not the same as other journalists
Behind these prison walls is a person they’d deprive
Of most of the things in life that keep us all alive
A person being tortured, as we stand here now
For revealing the war crimes – why, when, where, how
Behind these prison walls, our very right to be informed
Of what the hell is going on is the teacup in this storm
With knowledge there is power, so the solution by the Crown
A 24-hour-a-day, indefinite lockdown
Behind these prison walls
The EU did not ‘pass a copyright directive’ last year, they ripped the heart out of the free internet. And while people fighting for freedom of expression may have won the first round against ACTA in 2012, the copyright industry, EU technocrats and France won round two.
Last year the copyright directive was adopted after France traded support for the nord stream II pipeline with Germany and gotten support for their censorship directive. What’s in it for France? Amaru explains: just Follow the Money.
Fast forward to today, we’re all focussed on coronavirus, we see social media giants censoring and political leaders crying wolf on fake news. But what they’re obfuscating is the bigger threat of institutionalised censorship quietly being implemented by the EU.
ACTA (Anti Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) was stopped most of all by the Polish, back in 2012. Now Amaru Szakur from Poland explains what is going on with ACTA-2, the article 13 (renamed to article 17) in the copyright directive and how that is tied in with what is called anti terror regulation #terreg.
There’s a bigger picture also. We are at the turn of the tides and like with any revolution, this fourth industrial revolution comes in times of great changes. Be ready for artificial intelligence in the filtered digital single market formerly known as the free internet.

Interview turned masterclass on history and international law. Alfred De Zayas is outspoken: ‘what shocks me in the case of Venezuela is not that a demented president wants to irrigate upon himself the right to determine “I want this person as president of Venezuela and I want this person as whatever” but the fact that the Dutch the French the Spaniards the Canadians have followed suit so you have here actually a revolt against international law carried out not by banana republics but is carried out by countries that claim to be committed to democracy rule of law and human rights’.
Polonaise!
