EXCLUSIVE: NEW 2023 Schindler 5500 Traction Elevators at Charlotte Douglas Airport (Charlotte, NC)
These are more brand new Schindler 5500 installs in the front of the airport at the C Checkpoint/Baggage Claim. These are pretty awesome and smooth installs with slightly scenic views, which means we get to see a bit of how these work behind the scenes! 1000x better than the 5500 at the E Concourse! Sorry if this is a bit rushed, I had to for a reason given I'm at an airport. lol
I actually tried to film the 2 Floor 5500 on A, but the damn 1 Button already doesn't work. lol

This building likely didn't exist until 2010 or 2011, which seems perfect for this considering it has the "Dover" Buzz. And my god, East TN really loves its newer ThyssenKrupp Elevators. Another boring TK cab with ehh MAD BP Moon Button replacements for the floor (and I think call) buttons. I like the overall “Blue Aesthetic” these Signa 4’s have though.

Elevator Type: Hydraulic (Oildraulic Model)

Like the last video, this was in the Atrium Tower. It's strange to see an original Elevator and a Modded One in the same hallway! Garden State Elevators and TJElevatorFan1 has also filmed this elevator before.
Though the fixtures inside make me snore because of how lame they are, I love the Outside Floor Indicator on the first floor! I wish I could see more of those Outside Indicators on more of these. Also compared to the TK Elevator across, it runs SO MUCH better! It didn't sound like it starting up, but that was just my doubts.

Discovered that this place has a SHIT TON of these Northern/TK elevators here installed from 2007 to 2008. I only decided to film one, but one day, I may film ALL.
This is the first time I've ridden one of these and it's rather unique. The Call Panels are strange EPCO Circlelines, meanwhile everything else is different. The Indicators are rather interesting, and so are the Interior Buttons and I like the Dotted Innovation Arrow Laterns. This would be a lot better if it wasn't so mute besides the fan. No motor or machinery sounds at all! It's also a bit glitchy with the direction.
This could be a Traction, but I'm entirely unsure due to the lack of machinery noises.
I also here these are Canadian Elevators, which is rather cool. I'm guess these likely are here because I heard that ThyssenKrupp bought them out, which is likely why these are here despite being Canadian based. Rather interesting though!
Elevator Brand: Northern (ThyssenKrupp)

Elevator Type: Traction??? (Who knows?)

Considering the age of the building, this elevator is either an add on or replacement. ALSO MINUS POINTS FOR NO MONTGOMERY ELEVATOR IN THE BUILDING WITH "MONTGOMERY" IN THE NAME! JK xD
As for the cab, it's just your basic but interesting TK Aurora Cab. This one is a bit more boring considering you can only access 2 Floors Total (Floor 2 is locked off), but it's still an interesting little cab.
Elevator Brand: ThyssenKrupp
Elevator Model (if identifiable): Oildraulic
Elevator Type: Hydraulic

These are some super nice cabs with the rare GAL version of Lexan buttons. Ngl, the older Lexan fixtures are much better than these, but this version of Lexan is becoming more and more rare. I believe these are Elevonic 401s, and my first ones too!
These are a bit slow for 13 floors, only going 350 FPM and are somehow MUCH MORE BUSY than the other tower, but these are pretty amazing and run really well! Kinda wished I got a better video, but after 3 attempts of an up/down ride, I gave up and went with this take.

This is an elevator long overdue for filming since I last filmed it in 2020.
This was originally a 1978 Otis Lexan, but has had the COP replaced with an Otis Series 1 COP, odd mix! The buttons are Circa 1993, however the lack of a door close button and an older Otis Logo makes this seem like a 1980's mod. Sadly, the Floor Indicator is burnt out and I can't tell if it's an Analog or Digital Indicator. Despite the COP mod, pretty much everything is original and it runs fine!

YOOOOOOOOOOO! I remember passing by this building last November and the door was locked to access this. I think the only legit way to get here is to ring a doorbell and I think the only way to legit get in is if you have a real reason to be here in the suites section.
I was able to get in this time because the usually locked side door to access the suites and elevator was cracked open for some reason, so I made myself at home with this elevator. lol
This thing was much more epic than I expected! It's a Gated Elevator, making this my 2nd Gated Elevator that I've filmed! It's a Salem Traction Elevator from 1927 (I've said 1949 in the video, but that's via the unreliable NC records) and it has CJA Fixtures, an Unknown Mushroom like CJA Button Call Panels with awesome "In Use" lights, and a CJA HS COP! This thing has a nice motor startup and runs well for its age. It does have rough stops, but I guess that adds to the unique charm... I guess. This thing is EPIC TREASURE overall and if you're lucky to find a way in here, take a ride on this beaut!
FUN FACT: This was the FIRST Elevator ever installed in Waynesville!

This shopping center is not far from the last place and was built after that one. For some reason, instead of going with another Hydrofit, they get a Gen2 Traction instead, which was rather weird as this seemed and was layed out like another Hydrofit. Pretty boring cab though and the noises didn't sound too pleasant, but it serves it's purpose fine I guess.

The Lobby Call Panel is epic! We have 2 General Oiltronic elevators with GAL JetPlus that run pretty well. There are similar buildings like this in the area, but it turns out they have different elevators. This area is sketchy, so keep that as a warning.
