Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4 - Misc Bonding Events (Final)
To wrap things up, I am putting out a video with the remaining bonding events that did not fall into other videos. For Jusis, I included the scene with his brother at the end of the game when both are wielding family swords, since that is why I did the event in the first place. I do not remember if there is a scene with Kurt about his swords or Celine's ribbon, so those will not appear here, assuming they do exist.
With this, CS4 has come to a close and now I can start looking for other things. Here's hoping I can make the return to VNs sooner rather than later. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbRbMdp7SSA
Blue has joined the fray, and we need to get him up to speed. In order to maximize his hunter rank gains without repeating anything we've already done, we take on Lagombi and Aknosom, neither of which are really any trouble as the time may suggest. Since he is stronger than he should be for this part and Okami has already promoted, I opt to use one of my better guns. You can see how much the damage has improved from previous videos where I tried to maintain parity with the others.

Since I intend to use a different CO against Kanbei in each mission, I would have used Sami for this one instead of Andy. In most scenarios, Max will have a bit of a rough time here due to his indirect fire penalties.
Kanbei employs the bum rush strategy here by flying at you with everything he has. You can stop this by creating bottlenecks at the bridges and poking stuff with your indirect units. The bottom folds faster than the side, so once you have your opening, you can race for his HQ. I think it is still faster here to go for the rout, so just swing your offensive units over to the remaining front after the first falls, and finish off Kanbei.
We are now one step closer to the Sonja missions.

We get to enter a new area of the school grounds that I can't help but feel is grossly underused. There were no many opportunities for weird/eerie things in the background that only get used maybe twice and sadly, none of the flashlight shenanigans like you see in NG.
Otherwise, here we get to see Kokkuri's preferred method of execution and get to see more about the depths of his curse. However, there is still a lot at work in the background, and it is more than can be resolved in the next video's finale.

We need to complete the Pokedex to get access to Ramanas Park, so I need to go get the Lake Trio. Luckily, I don't have to chase down the one as simply setting it loose is enough. Otherwise, I nab the other two, and I think they will respawn if knocked out if you beat the Elite Four similar to Dialga. I won't actually catch anything in the Park though, because we need to get items from the Underground and they only appear after getting access. Basically, I have to grind some items to get anything out of there and there are some rematches that simply can't wait any longer...

Should you decide to help Futsunushi drive out the invading demon, this is the quest to take. You will get some Strength Balms for you trouble and Futsunushi will join the group. His skills did not look impressive, but it is possible that he is simply good fusion material, I don't know and never will as I went for the other route this time.

For the final rune, we need to perform a daring prison break. Unlike Emilia's chapter to come, we are breaking in instead of out. However, you will pick up Annie along the way, so if you spend some time developing her, it can help out immensely on a lot of other chapters. Otherwise, we need to navigate the prison that is full of one-way doors, but when we reach the boss, we are outside the room in question and can nab the final rune. With it, we gain access to Rune Magic, which is my preferred type of magic. You will need to wait until the Blue/Rouge chapters to see magic in depth, but we get some much needed healing here.

Grit steps up to the plate, and they give him a map where he can really thrive. With both fog and a barrier, Grit jumps to the top tiers of the game, and you can even manipulate the AI here a bit to get them to run in circles as you shoot them. Since this is a pre-made map, you can't build anything, so you just need to guard what you have and make use of infantry to spot for your indirects. Sadly, the game will not always be this generous, and hopefully you get some lessons here for a map with Sonja later.
Story-wise, this is one of the moments where you get to see Grit get serious, and see that there are things that cause him to act.

This is the part where the case goes bananas and sets things up for the grand finale tomorrow. We start things off by talking to our resident archaeologist (or what would you call him exactly?) and learn more about the relics in play. This requires us to locate one of the missing ones, which is very close to the courtroom conveniently. With all of the revelations, the time has come for Beatrice to take the stand in a last ditch attempt to escape culpability.

After having done the first part of this quest, you may need to let Khonsu live for this, and you will definitely need him for the finale. Amon wants you to retrieve something from him, sending us against a pair of sun gods that freeze under pressure. Once you retrieve the item for him, he wants to demonstrate its power on you, so I have to add another name onto my list of victims...
