1963 Corvette Part 3 Under the hood
1963 Corvette Part 3 Under the hood. Brought the car back from Fusion Performance. The car performed quite well. The repairs that were done were mostly related to the fact that the car is a 1963 and only driven 6 months out of the year. To add to the repairs that were described in part 2 the driver's side light motor was replaced since it had stopped working. The seats had to be tightened and the latches for the hood had to be adjusted.
The steering wheel was changed but that was for cosmetic reasons, ie to look more period correct. The window handle on the passender side had to be replaced.
Under the hood the car has a 327 ci. engine. I tried to film the engine bay to show the layout of all the components on a 63 for those who have never seen one or who are curious.

This is a funny country song that I had written many years ago.(Available on itunes http://bit.ly/1d9O4on and Amazon http://amzn.to/16JOHMF ). I thought that I could record it for fun, at home on my home computer(AMD), and hopefully get a few laughs or at least a chuckle. I tried to have fun with it or perhaps I am just making excuses for not paying too much attention to detail. If it sounded good I left it in. I did not spend days tracking instruments and perfecting the recording. That would have made it work and not a fun project. There are many glitches but all in all I was pleased with the results. It's a fun sing a long country style song with many influences from the Beatles. I was trying hard to get that John Lennon, George Harrison feel on the guitars. Lyrics are more influenced by none other than KISS.

Once again I had the pleasure to attend the Bike and Tattoo Show. As every year it is truly enjoyable and promises a good time. This year the show seemed more crowded. I believe it is gaining popularity as the years go by. There were some changes this year. The tattoo section was on the east arena and the bikes on the west side. It made things less crowded. The only downfall to this is that there is no more car section. The cars were scattered between the bikes. As a car guy I was a little disappointed but it is a bike and tattoo show, not a car show. I went on Saturday and got to see three great bands. Steve Hill started the evening with an incredible performance. He was followed by Eagle Tears. Close your eyes and you will swear that it's 1970. A really great rock band that is really tight. The show closed with a tribute to Led Zeppelin who did an amazing job at sounding just like Zep. All in all it was a great show!!
