This is a recording of a webinar given on 14th April 2020.
This webinar carries on with our discussion on the differences between Earthing and Bonding. We'll ask why Earthing is so important and why it should be maintained if used. We'll also discuss how we determine the need for bonding and supplementary bonding including the situations where installing bonding can actually create further risk.
You may also notice that I now have a 'JOIN' button on youtube, I have activated this as I would like to spend more time on YouTube creating content and carrying out live streams in the future and this is a great alternative way to support the SparkyNinja project, you will get access to exclusive emotes for chat and access to member only content in the future.

This is just a quick video from an inspection I did this morning.
It shows the supply to an installation where the supplier has upgraded the supply but failed to provide a new Earth on the TN system, therefore it remains a TT.

When designing electrical installations, part of the process involves selecting rating factors that are needed to adjust a conductors tabulated current carrying capacity to accommodate the differing factors that the unique method of installation has introduced.
If we just select all of the appropriate rating factors within a cables run however, we may waste our design and oversixe cable selections (probably complying with future 18th edition Part 8 in the process).
This video just illustrates how to determine which rating factors we should use when carrying out our designs.
