TOPIC: MLK & Zionism and The Rise of Anti-Semitism in the Christian African American Community: How Can it Be Overcome? Recognized as a leading voice of Black Leadership in Ohio and throughout America, Rev. Jemison has balanced his involvement with both local and national politics and ministry since his teens and his subsequent graduation from Moody Bible Institute and Ashland Theological Seminary. He was appointed the first Chaplain of the Ohio Democratic Party in 2006 and served to build relationships in both the black and white communities as a bridge of leadership. His interest in education lead to his election to the East Cleveland Board of Education, rising to the office of President, where he oversaw the district’s dramatic rise in status of excellence in student achievement in Ohio testing. He remains active at high levels in political interests and leadership in Ohio community outreach programs.
